BMW G20 driver mirror not folding (D90D0A)
Hi,
My driver mirror (left) stopped working (folding and electric adjustment). I read the fault codes with BimmerLink: Error (bimmerlink): D90D0A: Left exterior mirror (LIN): Missing LIN slave Car: BMW 320D G20 2019 About 6 months ago I went to the dealer for a recal (0013950300) and they also installed the remote software update manually because I couldn't. After this apointment the left mirror started to not fold every now and then. I'm not sure if it's related but this caught my attention. I searched this error code and it could be related to the mirror electronic. My question is: can i buy an new or used mirror and replace only the electric module and maybe the mirror fold motor? Part 6 and 11 on the diagram. I ask this because I read that soldering is required. Has anyone have done this before? I already dissambled the mirror cap to check inside for loose or damaged wires but all look okej. Second image is my mirror. ![]() Mirror image |

The other question (I'm not sure of the answer) is if you need to need encode the new mirror electronics via ISTA as well; I would think "yes", but not positive.

No, I disabled the auto auto-folding mirror function and don’t fold the mirrors anymore
![]() I did discover the I had issues when folding (lock) with the keyfob and then trying to unfold with the button on driverside door. The driverside mirror would not always unfold. Replacing the mirror seemed not easy and is costly. |
