You are right the Canadian currency has fallen these past years but the car prices did not increase to cover up that loss. So US dollar goes a lot further now then it did before, still not worth buying here though not that it ever was lol.

Just built an M340i with premium package enhanced for $71,962. It automatically adds the driver assist package for $2,100 and if you try to remove it forces you to add the $8,300 'Premium Excellence Package'. $72k? No thanks.

Yup starts at 61k, than 12k for options (got every option in the book) than all the bs fee's on top. Wouldn't say it's to bad.

My memory might be off, but I remember pricing out a decently appointed 2019 340 for mid to upper 60's. The pricing for the G20 looks to be a genuine rip off.

Well 80k CAD is 60k USD... yeah all our prices are inflated here... the province I'm in Alberta has a minimum wage of $16 a hour.. so everything is pretty high in pricing. The next choice was a M550i and that goes around 105k.. last time I checked at the dealer they had the F80 M3 for around 112k... so yah 80K isn't that bad in my opinion

If you're looking at it with all the features you get, it's not that bad. The price is as high as it is because you are pretty much forced into getting the Excellence Package which significantly pushes the price so it's not like you're paying more for less.
The M340i as-is stock is pretty much perfect for me because there's so much that comes standard that I would have had to option on the the F3X but I really want the laser headlights so that requires the Excellence package that comes with all the driver aids I have zero interest in. Unless BMW decides to remove the laser headlights from the Excellence package and has it as a standalone, I just might be waiting out on a M340i/M440i Gran Coupe for a while. I am currently paying low $800's including tax on my 440i Gran Coupe with everything except the driver aids with zero down. The same deal with the M340i will be a lot higher that I am willing to pay. |

2020 CAD M340i Configurator is up
Plenty of bugs, but you get decent visuals of the interior and exterior.

I don't think the US models get this? Would have been a nice touch for the interior, that top of the door is pretty blatantly plastic. |

The configurator seems to forced some options and packages so it might just be the leather dash option causing the stitching

Builder seems bugged in that it forces the Advanced Driving Assistance Package for $2,100. As per the product guide, it is definitely option and not required.

Ok... my sale advisor told me he asked his manager to email bmw canada. Got answer, no rwd for M340i.
What a goddamn disappointment. What's next? No RWD for M240i? |
