G22 4 Series Arctic Race Blue

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
First time I saw the new 4 Series in daylight. I like it more in real life than in photos. The color and those new wheels look absolutely awesome, they're just made for this car. Still can't really get used to the grill, I think I would have it in black, just to make it look a bit more subtle.

Ok, before the haters get here...

Thanks for the great pics! Makes me so glad I ordered the Arctic Race Blue and those wheels on my M440iX. I’m getting impatient as it sits at the port awaiting the ship.

Your pics also confirm that I want to eliminate those silver nuggets in the grill which the MPerformance grill accomplishes. Now I’m pretty sure too that the cerium mirror caps on mine gotta go, and I actually like them in body color shown here. Hmm...

The more I see these cars the worse they look. Every morning I have a fresh set of eyes and reality hits.

At first it was just the front end to me. But now the lack of a defined side character line and Hofmeister are very bothersome. This just doesn't look like a BMW.

I am contemplating over the same decision. Over here in Europe, we can only get the cerium or the all black options for grill and side mirrors on the 440i. That silver does look interesting.

I wholeheartedly agree, on the other hand I'm in love with the g20, the g chassis 5 and 7... I don't like this 4, I just say it's not for me. I've felt ever since the 3 coupe ended and they became the 4 series bmw made a mistake. The four is fine with what they are trying to do and people love it but it's not a 3 series. Look at the e46, e92 and before a true 3 series coupe. Like the critics would say it wasn't a true coupe but a two door sedan, well it was beautiful and they should bring it back. A 3 series shortened up slightly, longer front door no back door but same exact body and window shape just just about 10" taken out behind driver, before c pillar. Imagine the f30 and g20 with two doors, A true 3 series coupe (or two door sedan whatever) that is part of bmw history and heritage and the 4 series is not that. The 4 series is in line with the 6 and 8, it's an even number it's supposed to be. They already fragmented things with the "gran coupes", bring back the 3 series coupe' please.

This is a good color for the 4. One of the few that looks ok w a non-black grill

im trying to love it but it's horrible from the front and ok from the side and lovely from the back. Butthe 1 series and 2 series have eventually grown on me. I'm not sure this one will as the front grill is soo out of whack.

Really nice photos! The rain droplets always give a great effect. I too really think this is the best colour for the 4. And about the grill.... this is the best way to go in my opinion.

The grill in body colour... that should be an option!

That body color surround does look good, but I would still do the nuggets in black. I’m not a fan of the cerium diamonds in the G20 grill either. All black center on both!

Sounds like a call to IND may be in order.

It's grown on me! I still think it's reminiscent of an Infiniti but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I've said it before and i'll say it again. This car is absolutely brilliant from every angle, except the front. BMW really could've knocked it out of the park if they stuck with the front end from the G20 3 series. But nope. Nothing can save this car unfortunately. Unless the aftermarket gods can fix this atrocity!!

how long till an aftermarket M looking grill appears.
this is horrible.
At least that would be a step in the right direction.
