Burning Rubber Smell
Recently I have noticed that when I switch the engine off the fan continues to run for sometime and there is a smell of burning rubber.
Anyone else experienced this or know what it could be? Thanks

I was parked next to a friend the other day and noticed something similar, he instantly blamed his motor but I wasn't sure if it was mine. Ive only noticed it once so I'm not concerned, mines only a 320d too so it ain't from smoking the tyres

It'll almost certainly be from a DPF regen. They create quite a lot of heat, and, yes, a burning smell too. If you put your hand down to ground level by the A pillar you'll probably be able to feel the heat from the regen process
