M340ix Impending test drive.

Guys, I have got a 24hr test drive coming up this weekend.

In particular, I want to test how quiet and comfortable it has the ability to be as I am looking for the car to be comfortable and quiet.

So, what settings do I need to select in order to test that please? Hope that makes sense. Thanks!!!

Please tell us your trolling, as one does not buy an M340 to drive slowly and quietly.

Thats the wonderful thing about the world today, everybody needs and wants something different!!!

So, no trolling here, just a bloke that wants something different for about 90% of the time, but, with all the noise and power in reserve should I need it.......

Honestly, hit the eco mode button *before* you start the car and it's probably going to be as quiet as it's going to get.

This ^.

Or for a bit more omph but still quiet then use “comfort mode”

Regardless, for quiet then use your right foot sparingly and keep in high gear for the speed you are doing.

Just stick it in comfort, it’s the one l use mostly for quiet, refined cruising. Then put it in Sport + and the car comes alive and takes on a completely different character!

The car sounds loud when you start it up, even in comfort but soon settles down to a quiet idle. Don’t bother with eco mode, it’s absolutely pants and ruins the driving experience for very little improvement in economy. If economy is one of your priorities don’t get the M340i!

Thanks guys, that's all I needed to know, appreciated.

I have had many BMW's before but nothing like this, so, I just wanted to try the exhaust at its quietist and the suspension at its softest. Then I will know if its for me or not. Thanks.....
