Thanks for the heads up, might go for the HBA at £112 compared to normal £160 price.

I can get the Service Inclusive package (60 months/100,000 KM) for £606

My car is currently on 10,000 miles therefore has not been serviced yet. Is this a good price ?

Really depends on how many services you will need done during the period. Looks good for higher annual mileage cars.

Yes very true. The car is 18 months old with 10k. I am not doing the mileage under Covid and under normal circumstances would still only do 10k a year. I guess if I prolonged ownership to 4 years I still would only need two services !!!

Just had a quote:
1st service @ 2 years or 15,000 miles = £325
2nd service + 2 years or 15,000 miles = £507

So if keeping the car over/up to 4 years or 30,000 miles its worth getting

Thanks for the info!

I was going to go for HBA anyway so it works well for me.

Was also thinking of service inclusive for £606. It covers for 5 years/60,000 miles like the one on my last car so definitely a better deal than the £25 pm for 3 years that they were offering. I thought they'd withdrawn the 5 year one.

Agree ... I’m in a similar position mileage wise. We need to find out cost of servicing if only 2 services needed in order to compare.

I think the servicing will be worth it on my M340i as I intend to keep it for 4/5 years. I do a lowish mileage so will only get 2 services in on that package, but should still save money as paying for them separately would cost £800-900 at the moment without allowing for inflation.

Does anyone know if it is transferrable with the car if sold?

Thanks for the prices.... I have the same car as you and I intend to keep mine for the 2 services so looks like it is worthwhile for me....

There is also a brake fluid service after 3 years.

I think for peace of mind knowing that all servicing is covered no matter what the computer says up to 5 yrs and 60k, it is a good deal. As Tam says, there is also a brake fluid service required at 3 years which no doubt will cost the thick end of £100.

Just rung my service partner, Halliwell Jones, Warrington as mine is now booked in for it's first service mid December.

They quoted me £311.38 for this service coming up and £624.88 for a service in 2 years plus £131 for the brake fluid service at the same time, so it's a no brainer for me to take the 30% offer.

Also told me the car is due the track rod recall and doesn't know why I wasn't informed earlier. I knew my car was one for recall but had trouble trying to get through during lockdown so decided I'd wait till the 1st service anyway.

I'm sure the prices I was quoted could be knocked down a touch if I shopped around other dealers but that would involve arsing about travelling to get the work done and I'm very close to Warrington.

Just bought the inclusive service. Not without issues thou. Got an error 3 times whilst trying to checkout (website error).

Then when I eventually got to the payment page I got “an unsuccessful “ message quickly followed by a text from my bank flagging they had stopped a suspicious payment and to call them.

Did so and they unblocked my card and I then did the transaction again, this time successfully. Got confirmation email and now shows on my connected drive paid for services.

Job done!

I'm thinking the same! I intend to keep my car long-term (at least five years) and I believe a service is required at least once every two years regardless of mileage? That being the case I'll get at least two services under the Service Pack and they'll cost more than £606 at a main dealer (as you say, £800-£900 is probably nearer the mark).

I think once a pack's paid for it's attached to the vehicle and is therefore transferrable should you sell the car. A few years ago I bought a used E92 335i which had had the service pack taken out when new and the balance transferred to me; in that instance the purchase was a AUC from a BMW main dealer but I'm pretty sure the balance of the service pack would still have transferred even if I'd bought the car on a private sale.

ETA: Now spoken to a local dealer and it seems you won't get much change (if any) from £1k for the first two services on a M340i - on that basis £606 for a 5-year/60k mile service pack looks good value (providing of course you intend to keep the car long enough to require at least two services!).

I believe all the connected drive services including this one are transferable with the car.

I had exactly the same, then on checking 'My orders', nothing listed...... Checked 10 mins later and 3 transactions - 1 successful, 2 cancelled. You'd have thought a multi billion pound business could sort out a simple e-commerce cart wouldn't you....... 🙄

No issues buying the service inclusive pack, went through very easily. Worryingly, just looking and it's saying status : cancelled!? Suspect I'll be calling them in the morning.

Just a shame I didn't hold off on getting the Drive Recorder when it became available, I see that's down to £139.30 in the offer.

So I purchased the HBA in the connected drive store and received a confirmation email and that it should now be available to use. However, when I tried to use it in the car it said "fuction acquirable", so doesn't think I have access to it. But going into the connected drive in idrive, it is showing as a booked service.

Any ideas?
