Unfortunately there's not much added "performance" in the M Performance Edition but they look nice.

There is quite a bit of stuff. Extra engine oil cooler, larger front brakes, Upgraded exhaust and lots of aero parts.

Right but all of those parts were previously available. It's not a "performance edition" above what you can already get...it's just a package that puts it all together with individual paint and interior and a hefty price tag. Not trying to rag on it, it's a cool package (especially the Nardo one) but nothing that you can't or couldn't have spec'd out yourself.

You are correct. Only things you couldnt get without the package is the individual paint colours and m seat belts. Still if you are one of those people that wanted all the other stuff then this is still at a better price point.

You know I get that, but thinking back the F3X M Performance Edition was really no different as you could get the M Performance Package II added to any F3x.

Wish BMW would've added some extra boost though for the 2021.

I checked bmw usa website and it doesn't look like it's available in the US market. Does it have to be ordered thru your dealer?

You can't get these in the US. They are Canada only special editions. Three different individual exterior color options paired with three individual merino leather interior options (plus all the M Performance parts).

Too bad. It looks like it's a nice package. I wonder how much of a premium you pay compared to the standard m340 xdrive

Merino leather is a nice step up.

What's the reason we don't get Merino leather? It makes no sense

I always enjoy your work as it relates to our market as opposed to mostly US centric news here. If I were in GTA, I would have definitely sent all my friends to you haha, hard to find someone who is passionate about the brand in car sales.

I am disappointed BMW only went with extended merino instead of full merino like they did with 18 F30 MPE. Also the 18s had much more unique individual paints offered like LSB. Beautiful car though.

The thing is, if you spec it similar you will end up waay expensive.
I was looking from all the angles and this one makes sense.

- it is built in Germany not Mexico
- Individual color
- Merino leather with different stitching
- M seatbelts (you cant upgrade that)
- Performance wheels
- Bigger brakes
- if my calculus is correct you get a $ 9,000 - $10,000 parts for around 3-4000 more than an M340 (just buy separately the wheels, M performance exhaust, Cooling radiator for track package, M performance kit , bigger brakes, etc., and see where you end up. That is without the labour ...!).

Believe me, as a package is a very good deal as is the car right under the M3.
I waited for the new M3 but because of the new grill which is hideous to me I bought last month a San Marino M Performance.

It's a $18,000 package. It's actually less than adding everything individually and perfect if you want to lease it.

Oh absolutely it's a deal if you were to option out separately. My point is that it's a hefty price tag regardless. Even my previous "everything optioned" M340i was very pricey compared to the base price (and that didn't even include M Performance options).

See my above post. I agree that it saves money but it's still an $18k package! It's a $62k base price car...that's almost a third of the vehicle price added in options! Good for leasing yes although leasing in Canada sucks compared to the US.

considering the M3 starts just 2-3k above this model, I would go for a base M3 over this.

Are these 2021 M340i xDrive M Performance Edition vehicles assembled in Germany (Vin # starts with W) or Mexico (Vin # starts with 3)?
