Consdering M340i

Can someone help me out on something with the photos shown on the BMW website for the M340i.

The attachment - the top picture (bmw website) shows the display having a black border which I think looks substantially better. The below (literally every review website and video) shows a brown border.

Is the BMW website wrong or have they very recently made some changes?

I've only ever sat in a 330i, is the interior feeling (softness, feel etc) exactly the same in the M340i or is it more premium? I thought the 330i materials felt very rough and cheap, so hoping it is better.

I have a 2024 M340i with Cognac, and it has the Cognac color surround in place of black. I've never noticed it before, but it doesn't appear untoward to me in person....looks "normal".

Is this your only concern regarding considering M340i?

I think it looks best with matching silver trim as in X5. I'm pretty happy with my next to the cognac.

Just not something that stands out to me - but then again, that's just me.

If it bothers you that much, you can always install a black border - there are so many AliExpress vendors for that (I'm not kidding.)

I have a 2024 G26 M440i X-Drive with Cognac sensatec and its the bottom photo. Looks great.
