I received my m340i yesterday and am blown away. I think a guy broke his neck craning around took look at her while driving on the highway. Can't say enough about the looks, drive and technology. Wow!

The only thing in can't figure out is why my connected drive app on my iphone won't update the location and mileage/DTE. These are small thing but are bugging me. I have apple CarPlay up and running and all other remote functions are working from the phone like start/shutdown, honk horn lights etc.

Anyone have any idea? It still says she's located in Tallahassee which isn't accurate.

If you have any questions about technology or the car in general I think I'm getting pretty familiar with her. Feel free to ask away.

Mine stopped updating location and status on 6/3 while I was out of town. The last couple of days I can lock/unlock and even finally do remote 3D view, but the gas level and location are not updating.

I'll guess I'll just sit back and wait for it to fix itself. It's likely not to be something on our ends if other features are working and they're having such issues with their cloud server.

I’m in the same boat. No location updates since Monday. 3D is now working along with lock/unlock. Remote start came back on Friday.

Exact same issue here. My app hasn't updated location, fuel level or mileage since 6/5 (when it likely was going through PPI at the dealer). But, I am able to use Remote 3D view, remote start, lock/unlock doors and sound the horn.

OTOH, my other vehicle ('18 430i) is still updating normally...

Same dude, mine just randomly stopped working, by the way really cool trick I found while I was in a drive thru I opened up my connected app and turns out while the cars running you can use your phone to change climate, and see stats while your driving.... blew me away lol

I know haha I'll never use it but I was bored in a drive thru and came across it by accident, but yeah I had my car 5 weeks now and connecteddrive barely works, worked fine like a week ago but now it's completely down, my status isn't up to date like KM's and doors and windows status are in accurate it's weird..

I hope that works for you, and definitely let everyone know. but when I spoke to ConnectedDrive Support about this very issue yesterday, they told me it was a known problem and they’re “working on it” and to “wait a week and call back if it still isn’t working”. Yay.

My M340i last updated on 6/5.

Update was pushed to my car today.

Connected app still won’t update location. Remote start through the app works again.

I'm incredibly frustrated with BMW and the connected drive department. It's on acceptable to to make people pay for a subscription along with a $60,000 car and have software that's not ready for prime time. I mean this product was at least partially working, when I purchased the car 1 month ago up until they did this migration at the very least they need to put out a notice to the public or a memo explaining what's going on and an expected timeline for resolution I'm surprised nobody has written an article about this

Each department blames each other, between BMW Assist and ConnectedDrive. Throw in the BMW Genius bunch, and none of them have their story straight. It is a bit ridiculous.

I wasted too many calls and emails this past week to try to get a solution or answer to something I knew wasn't going to happen. I'll try again in a week or two. But I will damn sure get a free month extension!

I'm calling customer relations. According to the last BMW Assist person there was in fact a letter sent out in May acknowledging the issue. And allegedly they are waiting for the tech department to assess the issues at which point they will issue another letter with the timeline for fixing the problem. Which if you ask me is BS because I haven't received a single letter. I was told to call customer service to inquire about being compensated.
