Oh sweet, didn't even know that was possible. That would be nifty as long as no functionality is lost.

Agreed, looks like it should be the basic BMW steering wheel for non-M cars.

-BMW felt too much information was leaking about the M3 and reacted by obfuscating plus pulled out info in their system on the M3 to hide what was going on (yngulyn notes they pulled out a lot of his key info)
-instead of everyone adopting "aw shucks guess we have to wait and see" this gets misinterpreted as " I can't definitely confirm a manual, that means no manuals"
-bmw scrambles to get the info back out there the manual is coming (within a week you have direct quote from head of M and then follow up with pictures of the clutch in a test mule)

Just sayin.....
I can confirm that a very large part of this analysis (if not all of it) came from your properly functioning brain and not that tinfoil hat.

One day (when BMW decides to plug all the holes) I'll tell you all about it.

There's something off with that second photo. It's taken through a closed window, and most of it is the interior of a car (note the "a"). But then there's the lower left corner, which seems like the outside is reflected in the bottom of that window. And in the reflection there's a 10-spoke wheel with high profile rubber. Now look at all the cars in the other photos and tell me: which of them has that wheel?

First thing that came to my head when I saw this. How can you take a pic of the 3rd pedal and not the interior or the stick shift? Also not feeling the steering wheel at all...

Hrm right. Also, there's sunshine on the dash or the photo seems to be taken in the sun whereas the front of the cars seem to be in the shadow judging from the other photos.

Ya but the fact that its the same wheel as in the other new M cars ... one would surmise that it makes sense this would be the production wheel. Which, if i may say, is pretty sh*tty
Oh so you're just generally shitting on anything that's not a E46 or E90
Brash assumption but no, I've own every 3 series since e36 and as a human I've just got my opinions and wishes. Not shitting on it just sayin I don't like the new M steering wheels theyve developed. There's no sport in it what so ever when u see it compared to say a flat bottom design from Audi - that's badass.
Have you felt the steering wheel? it feels fantastic!

Wow yeah I didn’t even notice the spurious wheel reflection. Very odd indeed!

My clutch pedal isn't aligned with the brake pedal. I think most of my previous cars have had the clutch pedal stick out a bit more. It obviously has a lot more travel than the brake pedal so it would make sense.

Are you sure about that? I thought that all CLAR vehicles used a 5x112 bolt pattern while most other older BMWs used 5x120.

Yep

Earlier I downloaded the pic to zoom in and looked closer.

Also the other photos add other questions about all this.

The two cars are clearly at different stages of G20->G80 bodywork evolution.

Sorry, but what do these pictures mean? Nothing! Or anyone doubts that the M-GmbH tests G80 mules with manual transmission ... the G80M3 "Pure" has already been mentioned several times. But that does not mean that a G80M3 with MT finally makes it into production!
Maybe there will only be one RWD/MT G82M4, because according to the M chief developer,"Wenn das manuelle Getriebe stirbt, dann stirbt es in einem M4!"
However, a series G8x with MT is highly unlikely, because AWD and AT8 is pretty much set, only if there is really a Pure model, with ~ 450HP, then RWD and MT are set ... and there's just the question of how many Pure's will be coming, in any case not in the G83, in the G82 with high probability ... and in the G80 it is at least questionable.

These interiors are heavily camo'd and they always cover the shifters with cloth when parked. The OP was very smart to shoot for the pedals!

The F90 M5 Steering Wheel will NOT fit on the F10 M5 due to size issue.

The F90 M5 will work on the F30, F80, G20 etc and the future G80.
