Not a video but I was lucky enough to be one of the first to drive it just a week ago.
Just a brief writeup if anyone's interested

Wonder how handling and driving dynamics feel like compared to an M340i or a M440i coupe

The previous 4-series GC was very attractive, especially compared to the ho-hum F30 3-series. This car? Call me a hater but it's not attractive. It looks chunky and sits very high up. Soft lines, awkward ankles, weird black plastic pieces all over the body, and I won't even mention the face. I don't see the appeal of this car.

The G20 3-series is way better looking at a better price.

I've noticed this, burbles on upshift and overrun.

In the process of ordering an M440i coupe, thinking about changing to the gran coupe partly for this reason.

Everyone has a different opinion, obviously. I have a fully loaded M340i and I do like it. It’s quick and it’s fun. But the body of the car is small and the side and rear are simply too bland. I’m not an overly showy person, but the 3 series is just too basic in my opinion.

The black on this car is to contrast and create some kind of character. Not to mention the vents are functional not just black plastic. As well as reduce the blandness of a long side profile having nothing on it. It works really well in my opinion.

I have to admit that I am completely fangirling over the M440i GC in Brooklyn Grey + Red Brake Calipers. It looks so freakin good!

BMW did a really nice job capturing the color in the artist drawn version of the car compared to your picture!

If I were shopping for a 4 door right now and it was between the M340 and the M440 GC...I'd choose the M440 GC for sure. The hatch alone in the back makes it better utility, the driving specs are essentially the same or close enough to not make a difference off the track, and I actually like the looks better.

Did you just hack my laptop and steal my build configuration?
Absolutely have to do red calipers with a Tacora Red interior. And it's a better contrast than blue calipers when paired with Brooklyn Grey

More written first drive reviews. I probably should stop posting these because they all say the same thing - and it is largely positive.

I wish there is a M4 Gran Coupe. I already like M440 Gran Coupe.

Great build. That's exactly how my F36 looks - with F36 styling cues instead.

Invited journalists on all inclusive trip to review a brand new car.

I wonder if they will be positive? : 🤔

Cars good though, does seem to have gained a lot of weight in the G series. I wonder if it's noticed in the driving feedback.

I have a feeling this car will sell very well, stealing away many Lexus and Audi customers. I really prefer the front end with a blacked out bottom portion of the grille.

I remember building the G26 on BMW's site early in the year, and I thought they were already out.

Love the hatch, but I'd go for the 3 series because of the...well you know.

Reason I ordered as well in black.. grille blends in nicely and love how then the blue laser lights and badge come out.. to continue on the side with the blue calipers.. reason I went also with the alcantara seats to continue with the blue accents inside.. will be a long three months
