Probably not. No car has been seen testing as of yet, even the G81 has been seen and that isn't due for another 2-years, so at this point it might be too late, although that could change. i4M is likely to take the G82's spot in the lineup.

Thanks for the information, but I will never buy an electric car, I will be only interested with a real M Car with 4 doors and a coupe line but cheaper that the M8 GC

The October and May photos looks like a cooler shaped car. The newer more recent photos the overall shape looks bland. Looks like the BMW suits went with the more conservative lame exterior design.

The 4 Series Grand Coupe is a cool underrated car that is very utilitarian for a sedan, but once again becoming increasingly more expensive.

I really hope the lines look sharper than that,
I know the small wheels don't help.. but the shape is looking very vanilla.. and I hate to say it but Tesla model S esque...

The 8 series Gran coupe look later great at the back and the side profile... hoping they've disguised this really well and when the wraps come off it looks similar to that

To me, the placement of the rear wheels look even better than on the coupe ! Still haven't had the pleasure of seeing any of them yet though.

Because BMW has brand cachet that other marques don't have, and they'd be well advised to maintain that. If youre BMW and you start building anything and everything, you risk diluting it (some would argue this has already happened).

Would you want to see a BMW full size pickup truck? How about four door BMW cement mixers? BMW forklifts? BMW trombones? BMW ceiling fans?

Surprisingly MB recently admitted that they made a mistake in expanding their lineup with cars such as the GLA, GLB, A, CLA, etc. While they admitted that the cars are a success, they did note that it does dilute brand image and provides less focus on higher profit margins from more luxury oriented and priced cars.

https://www.motor1.com/news/447830/m...expansion/amp/

That being said, watch them still release another compact crossover that no one asked for.

I'm in the same boat as you. Forget the M3 Wagon. Give me a M4 gran coupe. The hatchback gives me a ton of usability and convenience without the wagon looks. Heck, I'd even give up the 6MT and take an automatic M4 gran coupe.

But, as an M4 gran coupe's not going to happen, I'll probably get a g80 M3 w/ 6MT in a few years.

Unless I missed this, MB does not admit in this article that the compact line up is diluting their brand image. They only confirm that the line up it's a bit extensive.
