Same here in Tampa.
A year ago got a lot of attention and positive comments at gas stations and parking lots… not anymore.

Here in SoCal, the Mexico blue beast blends in. I think my raptor gets more attention/ comments.

Lots of stares and double takes in my BGM M3CX. Few comments about the car looking sinister like a great white shark. Not sure I agree, but the color does stand out and is rather uncommon in my neck of the woods.

People really do respond highly to the full Fiona though …

Think in areas where there are a lot of BMW's or other German makes to non owners or non car people its just another BMW.

Low model ID number, 3 or 4, might take its down because everybody knows the higher the number on the trunk the more expensive the car is.

I've received lots of positive feedback. Countless thumbs up of people either walking as I drive by or in their own car. I've seen people whip out their phone and take pictures.

I do feel the car has a presence about it. Especially in Oregon where I literally don't see any. Since the G8X was released I've only seen two in the wild total. One of which was a month before my car arrived at the dealer. I really thought taking delivery of my car at the dealer would be the first time I actually saw one in person.

My favorite are the kids. I had one 9'sh year old staring in my general direction at a local grocery store parking lot. I never assume people are looking at me or my car. I looked around and where I was parked there was no one else. But still didn't assume it was for me. His Dad was loading groceries into his truck while he stood there waiting so just thought he was zoning out. As I drove by him he had a HUGE grin on his face and gave me a thumbs up. Made my day!

I’ve never gotten this many compliments or comments on a car I’ve owned. My wife almost gets embarrassed by it when ever she rides in my car as it happens that often.
Maybe they are taking pics of her!

Haha nice. I have an 18. Going to list for sale this week actually. I’ll miss it. What I’d REALLY like is the Raptor R. However, not willing to pay the outrageous mark up.

Haha…perhaps but the majority of the time the photos are paired with comments about the car and the color of the car.

Up here in New England it seems to be an early 20s dick magnet. I get revved on ALOT. I keep my M4 in New England but in Miami I have driven, imo, much cooler cars and no one seems to give a single shit. Its a nice change.

The amount of attention (good or bad) is crazy up here and something I really wasn’t expecting. Either chatting with someone at the gas station or avoiding people driving like meth heads. It certainly turns a lot of heads. To be fair, I’ve only noticed one other G82 around so that obliviously plays a role.

I think it's more color than anything—I get a good handful of comments almost daily. It's actually a lot of attention for what it is. Some don't know the model of the car but just like the looks/color. Most car guys give a thumbs up. I usually do too if I see a nice damn car like a tango red RS5. A little appreciation goes a long way.

Well NE Dragway street nights begin this weekend. We shall see if that attention holds.

I made the same comment in a similar thread, but my observation has continued to hold true.
People who know and appreciate the car make positive comments. To others, it is an another gray BMW sedan.
I actually like this quite a lot.

My Frozen Portimao Blue gets lots of attention. A lot of times people ask if it's a wrap or factory paint. And yes lots of idiots try to race too.

Today at the self wash station: I'm minding my own business, in a distance a farmer washing his huge agricultural tractor.
After some minutes he rushes in my direction and shouts "what a nice machine, congratulations, don't see often such an high-end car!"
Well, we exchanged some niceness and technical stuff, I learned some news about his dinosaur tractor and his job, and, waving farewells, each of us went his own way.
Two random people smiling and driving home a bit the safer way today.

I get positive feedback on my car everywhere I go, from total stra, ngers who don't know what the M4 badges on my car mean, to die hard BMW owners. It must be the Isle of Man Green, the 825M bi-color wheels, and the Tartufo full leather. I doubt I'd get any where near the positive reaction from people if my car was, say Alpine White, some shade of gray or blue, or black.

The M4 certainly stands out. Have had quite a few compliments and people looking at the car. I certainly didn't buy it for that reason (I'm normally a pretty reserved and quiet person) but its nice to chat about the car with likeminded people.

I feel like a broken record chiming in on these threads but the car gets an unreal amount of attention here in Denver. I think it's the Frozen blue paint. Nonstop attention. I know my wife thinks I'm lying every time I bring her some story about getting a thumbs-up or taking 20 minutes to get gas because someone stopped to ask me about it. It's just an M3... never in my life would I have imagined all of the attention.

I thought my previous Brooklyn grey g82 got a lot of attention. I recently traded it in for a São Paulo yellow with all the carbon bits and now I’m a chiropractors wet dream… snapping necks left and right.
