Yeah, the watch is generally like a concrete block. I wore it just about every day for more than 10 years and it still looked really good. Then I got it serviced and it's more of an occasional now (for the last few years). My daily is a VC Overseas now, which looks great too. Stainless Steel watches are like tanks. I've learned not to stress too much over scratches. Eventually, you just send it in with your first born and it comes back looking brand new. The good news is, that if you just keep having kids they'll except the eldest remaining as substitute "first born".

Scraped part of the bracelet and my left arm but thankful nothing more serious. I didn't even trip. Chalked them up as battle scars. |

PS - this is another of my Omegas and particularly suited to a German car site as they only sold them in Germany and Switzerland. They are generally called Teutonic Speedmasters, c. 861

Couple more of my Omegas:
3523.80 Speedmaster (pen is an unusual modern Waterman, the Serenite): Pie pan Constellation from 1960s: 1956 cal. 500 with period band that mates well with the appearance of the watch: One of my few Quartz watches, a 2342.80: |

Vintage Omega
couple from the 1950's. Put a new dial from 1994 special edition in the lower one, perfect fit!

Wow. Gorgeous. I see you have a "type". Small seconds, dauphine hands. Well, outside of that, there are a lot of differences too. The very classic top one and the very modern (for its time) lower one. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Anyone have any pointers for someone (myself) who's looking for a used Speedmaster pro, 38mm? I see the prices range from 1k to 3k, but cannot tell which are fakes or not. What's a good price for these as well?

I would start looking at the watchuseek website. They have a very good sale section and most of the sellers are reputable, regular members/dealers on the site...
