You won't get this with THE 4.
Regardless of your aggressive marketing, ANY individual that sees such amount of controversy, must admit -even to himself- that this is a failure. When hundreds in a forum are displeased with the new look, you MUST know that something is wrong.
If I will be a designer, and I will read these comments or “it will grow on me” I will admit at least in my inner soul that I am a very mediocre designer and that I have failed.
You can call it, the new Mesiah, the new design language, the new stance, or the new bold... in fact is just CRAP
I have never see a more ridiculous, wacky and goofy look in a vehicle ever. And is a BMW! Or is it?

Congratulations, you took Fiat Multipla’s crown!

Very good point, I always wondered if they could just use the BMW logo as the brand, phase out the need for kidney all together.. or perhaps merge the kidney and circular logo int one brand image where the loss of need for a grille with electrification would allow flexibility.. even asymmetry which can be attractive.

Hi Scott, would you know the official release date for promotional photos or the car itself in production form ?

I don't think you are going to get a direct answer to your question any time soon. Hopefully, I will be proven wrong.

Still locked in for June. But with the current uncertainty?
This could still be postponed.

I guess we will just have to live with the leaked photos for awhile.

Hypothetically, does "locked in for June" also include live on the website and taking individual orders using the build your own stuff? Assuming it doesn't get postponed.

This is what I see (roughly). I think it's pretty damn horrible, but maybe I'm just seeing it wrong and it will turn out just fine. It's even scarier when you imagine the front grille being negatively angled.

Try seeing it without the chrome grille surround.

I have waited it for a very long time. I can say that I won't buy this generation of 4-series, get something instead. The front grill has destroyed the whole car's design.

It won't make much of a difference. If the grill ends up black on all versions, it will probably be glossy, so it will reflect sunlight and look white a lot of the time anyway.

The issue with the BMW design in question is not the unsightly grille, per se - it's the whole front end which doesn't work, period. A poor design overall, imo.
I don't like the horizontal, big grill look. This is what everyone else has been doing for years to varying levels of mediocre effect, yawn. It reminds me of a fusion.

Those who post, "I've owned "x" bmws going back 15 years, but will not being another". The members who say that might even get an Audi A5 or something, won't be impressed by it, and will come back proclaiming that they miss their bimmer and "I guess the new grills have grown to on me after all". For those who aren't merely succumbing to herd mentality, and truly can't accept the new 4 grill design, they'll lease a 330i or x3 instead of a 4 series.

I agree with your last point, folks loyal to the brand will buy a 3 or an X3 instead - hence my question, who is going to buy this 4 if it looks this bad?!

Oh that grill ..... it is starting to grow on people though and eventually might even become "the cool new look" but for now I am on the naysayers side

I will wait the official release to decide on G22 or F32. The E92 is still too beautiful.

Those who like the design or who aren't totally put off by it. I think the people who passionately dislike it are the most outspoken, but there's likely a quiet undercurrent that likes it, or can at least accept it.
