We have insiders all but confirming the front end will not look anything like the G20 3er... you can already see through the camo the grill looks different.

No. Even when the sedan shared the same name as the coupe, they looked different. The E90 front did not look like E92, same the F30 and F32. Other than having kidney grilles and xenon/adaptive headlights, the design were different and not identical. This should continue for the GXX cars especially since BMW has started to move away from the one shape, different size design.

Hopefully the new 4er will have more interior room than the M850 I sat in a few days ago. There was no more rear legroom in the rear seat of the 850 than there is in my M240.
That said, the M850 interior was nicer than the 2er.

Where the bumper meets the bonnet make the front end looks very much different.

That's just the line where the cladding meets the actual hood. Look closely. The good line will meet at the top of the grills like in previous generations don't sweat

I think we meant the same thing. It's same as F3x but not like G20, dont we?

Pick one or the other because your hyperbole doesn't get me excited at all and borders on oxymoronic.
When I first saw the car I was at first sight WTF!
However I have come to like it having become more familiar with it.
It's the expectation to see how others will react to it. Will they have similar reactions and feelings before acceptance? Or will they reject its new ideas?

The inclusion of huge grilles is bringing back design controversy just as it did in the early 2000's. THE 4 is the perfect concept to highlight expected debate which will no doubt follow. Be Rest assured that it will.

Scott, how close in design is the new grill to this concept?

And do the headlights connect to the grill?

So many BMW design elements right now look ABSOLUTELY AWFUL in photos but much better in person.

x2 front end
z4 front end
X7 front end

All look worse in photos than in person.

So I already know that the forum will in general hate it. That's as easy a guess as LEXUS taillights.

What I also know is that as you mentioned, after the initial shock , people will get used to the change and eventually accept it.

Remember the M3/M4 comp 666 wheel ? Everyone hated it when it came out.

Then you're clueless and you are not listening to what has been stated multiple times. SCOTT26 just reiterated it again just a few posts above this one for those who are stubborn and unwilling to swallow what BMW is shoving. The 4 WILL be different. It WILL NOT look like the G-Series 3. It WILL have huge grills. Even he was like, WTF?!?" when he first saw it. It WILL spark debate and controversy.

Guys, if you just watch the first 3 seconds of the latest G80 Nuerburgring spy video on the front page, you can clearly see the new grill reflecting the sunlight. You should definitely be able to estimate the size and shape of the grill. Back and side seems to look like mini 8 series.

The extended grilles are so hideous. Even the 8 series grilles aren't that long vertically. There's no way BMW will implement that with such a small frontal area. I also agree that it'll look similar to the G20 but have lower bumper/grille closer to the 8 series. That makes sense. We know the 3 and 4 series bumpers are different but they aren't that different. The design language is mostly the same.

If it's as different as the 5/6 series then I'd be very surprised.
