Ecutek is no joke, my buddy buried deep in the 10s stock turbo E50. Definitely the fastest tunes around.

Man. Very disappointed. Going to write Carbahn myself and see what's going on. But this feels like a money grab, with no results…. If JB4 cars run 11.3-11.5 there's no reason this shouldn't compete with that considering the price. Even racechip advertises 11.7, which is still a big ways off from 12.1, and they're using the same hardware. The thing is, it's not even a tenth faster than stock. They need to improve their product. As word gets out, it will really affect their business. Don't recommend, and it's a shame because the seat dyno really felt noticeably different at times and fooled me.

I do agree that is quite disappointing, especially on an AWD car. My car is RWD and I ran 12.19 with just a downpipe and no tune at a 2200 DA. Your car should be faster. I'd just throw that away and get JB4.

Yup…. And of course they'll warranty it with those quarter mile times

My first actual track outing. Prep was on point and it was about 70* out. Very windy. So close to a 10 sec time. I would think putting a lighter catback exhaust, and an xhp trans tune would probably get me there. Especially on a slightly cooler day. Mods in signature. (Not many)

New best stock time. I found that using launch control is better than brake boosting, although it was short shifting first gear. I could have done better shifting - nonetheless with the manual shifting I gained MPH and nearly a tenth.[IMG][/IMG]

2021 M340i xdrive built in July 2021
Stock 792m wheels with 225 all season runflats on standard tire pressure
Spare tire in trunk
Launch control, sport plus mode
Manual mode, paddle shifting. I wasn't trapping this high in automatic/sport shifting mode
I had 3/4 full gas tank, I put 3 gallons of e85 with 93 octane for the rest of the tank, but from my experience in testing it made zero difference

Launch control - hold a second or so until the 2500 shoots toward 3k + and try to let go during the jump of rpm. Dump the brake pedal and keep foot pinned to the floor the whole way. Shift as the red is just about to appear on the HUD

If you can't shift good manually just do first gear then shift and hold the paddle shifter down to go into sport shifting from manual and it will take over. The biggest short shift it does is first gear

Butt dyno's can be unreliable for that reason haha.

Apologies if this was covered earlier, few questions (not a Carbahn user) - what fuel are you using, and have you tried any E85 to up the octane to see if there's any improvement? Do you know what sea level you're at?

I have a JB+ currently and the higher it's set for performance the difference is noticeable really only when I add E85 to ensure highest octane possible. I used to do a lot of work with a local tuning company to me on Ecoboost motors - and I've come to learn over time that just because a pump says 91 or 93 it's not always good quality. Same goes for E85 (where I live it can be as low as E60-E70) - so when mixing you have to account for all of that. Went so far as to get an E85 content sensor at one point.

Anyways - a few factors could be at play. Sucks you're not getting the full performance either way.

I always have added 3 gallons e85 to a full tank to boost it slightly. The e85 is usually 85 or more at that pump

Do you know what sea level you're at?
Atco dragway can be used as a reference point for me - 88.6ft
