As everyone might know since the LCI the Mineral Grey color is not in the configuration and brochures anymore.

But...I could order my new G20 LCI 320e in the Netherlands in the beginning of August with the dealer saying that Mineral Grey would be available for production again in September.

Today I don't see Mineral Grey returning in the brochure or online configurator :/

Is anybody familiair with this 'news' ?

Not sure about the colors but I do know BMW is extremely inconsistent in what they offer in their cars….
In the Netherlands we can only get or standard fabric seats or the Vernasca leather, yet in Germany you can get fabric, sensatec, vernasca and merino! Also they have individual colors as well…
But they don't have Driver Assistance Pro, while in UK again different options…

I really don't understand why every country in Europe gets a completely different offer structure… all European BMW's come from Germany, so I don't get why there are so many differences…

Keep in mind, it could change as well like your dealer said…

I had an order converted when it turned out my car won't produce before the lci rollout. Initially i had mineral grey as well, but in Poland as well its not available for the lci.

The dealer haven't said nothing about the availability for the color coming back – we converted the order to dravit grey with additional cost being covered on his side. That happened in June, so maybe there is some new info about this since then.

Does anyone know if there is a interior carbon fiber trim available for the new 330s? I'm hoping to get it aftermarket but not really sure where to look.

^ Thanks for posting this video. So, it looks like the US market once again gets shafted and does not get the carbon fiber roof and carbon fiber interior trim options. That's a shame.

P.S. - I'm sure this was already mentioned on one of the 20 pages of this thread! Ha

While you may not be able to order from the get-go, you'll most certainly be able to order and install after the fact.

You can customize this somewhat in the settings. Mine was unlocking etc. every time we walked by to get to our other car, so I turned that off and left the auto locking when leaving part on. It will still turn on welcome lighting when you touch the handle to unlock.

Well I was told after ordering my 50k car that it would be built this week. Of course my sales lady was on vacation and did not return until today. She was not able to give me the right production number that would work unreal. Then she tells me it was built 9/27/22 in Germany and is awaiting transport from the plant to the port. I was hot!
I told them I wanted the excitment of tracking the build when I ordered it...
I am speechless right now...
I guess the good news is it wont be march for delivery I guess. I am taking performance delivery in SC. I have no idea how long it will take from now to get loaded and shipped to that location.

If you visit the BMW accessories store they have carbon fiber interior trim and exterior pieces that can be purchased as add-ons. I believe the interior trim pieces are sold out currently but you can certainly buy the external pieces (sadly not the roof though).

It was built specifically to assemble the 2 and 3 series. The X3 and X5 are assembled in Carolina.

People have this weird obsession with their car being assembled in Germany, it makes no difference.
check your VIN if the number 3 appears as the first character it is a mexico built. the letter B will be german built

I tried the new shifter... it does not work very well. takes multiple motions to do what use to take just a toggle to either direction.
since the center console looks the same it should be a no brainer to install the pre lci shifter in the 23..
Replace the civic looking rear bumper.
IMO the 4 series grills are becoming less offensive than the interior on the new 3

3 means Mexico; W, not B, means Germany.

My G20 330i with VIN - WBA60FF0708Dxxxxxx was manufactured in Mexico - shipped from Veracruz - current location "unknown"

The first letter/number significance appears to have changed in recent years, with many VIN decoder websites remaining out of date.

Regards, Mike.

Interesting! My 2020 330i was built in Munich and starts with W. My ordered 2023 M340i was built in San Luis Potosí and starts with 3. Mdecoder.com shows the right info for it just says after it was built.

I was under the impression BMW actually puts the right country of origin on the VIN. Audi, however, keeps putting W on their Mexican-built Q5s because the “powertrain comes from Germany,” which seems disingenuous to me.

Guess for everyone YMMV. 🤷‍♂️

With this model update and the new 3/4 series buck tooth grill, it's as if BMW is trying very hard to make people not want to buy their cars....

I like it (iDrive 8). While the previous system worked fine, I felt it lacked aesthetically. That's corrected with iDrive 8. While there are no longer programable physical buttons, I prefer the new virtual buttons. Previously you had to remember your programed button functions and they were located down low and not in one's line of sight. With the new ones, all you have to do is flic the controller forward and the virual buttons are shown on the screen and are labeled. Super easy.

Also the climate control is fine for me. Temp settings are always on the screen and I rarely bother with any of the other settings, other than turning it off in the summer.

But expect to spend some time setting things up. I have yet to find a setting to stop the car from auto-locking the doors when I drive off.

I'm recently back in the Bimmer world after 10 years on hiatus. Just bought bought a 2023 330ex. Previous cars were 325i and 750il. Love this car! New screen is what sold me.

I do have a question though...I was told by my dealer that the factory charger that comes with the car is a Level 1/2 charger. Is this true? Noticed it only came with 120v plug on it.
