Hope you don't own a Honda in the same household

From the looks of it, the shifter is push forward to go backwards. Honda products are the opposite (more intuitive). I expect numerous accidents resulting from this. I still get caught with the wiper stalk doing opposite things when I drive my wife's car but atleast that's a much more innocuous force of habit.

Sorry if this has already been asked/answered (I didn't read the entire thread), but how does one put the car in sport and park using the new gear selector switch?

There is a dedicated, capacitive touch "P" and "Sport" button/lever next to the e-shifter layout..

And the vehicle has "auto hold" so technically it is always in "park" unless your foot is on the gas..

Like the front and side but not the back. Inside that screen is a real crowd pleaser I'm sure but too big and distracting for my taste - eyes up on the road when driving. Minority opinion vs general public but car tech is about motor, gears, suspension, etc .. not computer screens. Is there a no nav option anymore?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what you're saying is that putting the car in sport via the driving mode selector button will also put the transmission in sport as well? Usually these are separately controlled, no?

Just in case nobody has said it yet...

So Kia restyled the front end and Toyota slapped on a set of Camry vertical slots at each rear corner. The interior is a classless, overstyled mess. The dash screams Amstrad PC from 1985, the "clocks" are hideous. The non shifter console leaves me cold, too. Color me unimpressed.

Just noticed something else about the front. The foglight mafia must be grinding their teeth to powder.

I like the new front end.

They ruined the interior with that "shifter" and notepad with pylons protruding out the back on the dask. No more buttons for the climate control.....can't wait until this fad is over & people go back to normal buttons as standard.

From what I gather, there are individual buttons for Sport, Comfort and Eco and I'm guessing you can save a custom profile in Sport and toggle that same button to switch between Sport, Sport+ and your Individual saved profile. You get less fine-tune driver profile option settings (No Steering, Throttle, ect) in non-M models, just general mode changes.

There is also a physical push/pull lever to alternate the transmission between Drive and Neutral, which I've circled.

Climate control on a screen only is a hard no sale for me. It goes with radar cruise where you cannot turn off the radar function and no off switch for stop-start. Nope, not on my watch.

Haha my 2012 Lexus IS had that feature, which I'm sure Lexus has been offering since 2006 when that model launched.

Bewildering, but my current car doesn't have it and I live in a warm climate. I haven't had any issues. I think if the leather is high quality and breathable, one can manage without ventilated seats.

So all screen just like MB. I guess that's cheaper to simply stick in there and program with software versus actually building things like gauges and climate control systems. No gear lever so no console shifting or anywhere to put your hand. They are homogenizing and digitizing all models to make the slide to full EV less noticeable and more palatable for the masses. I'm hanging on to my older models for dear life including the low miles 2011 E90 335i I recently sourced. That is until the authoritarians force us out of ICE with more punitive measures and mandates coupled with disastrous economic and geo political policy that has sent oil prices skyward.

Incorrect. Massive cost savings by gluing on two Amazon Fire Tablets vs. traditional and superior dashboard. Think about it: a single screen connected to a computer controls everything vs. multiple control looms all over the vehicle. It's cheap, end of discussion.

Yes if they were more flush or built in more . Instead they look stuck on.

Soo....the bottom looks like an Audi grille on top of the "kidney" grills, and it juts out almost like a Toyota Corolla....

Why would they not show images of the base model? It's only in the configurator.

Looks better than m sport

Front reminds me of the M5. Very nice LCI, need to see the rear.
