G20 LCI Crystal Bling and More Dynamic Ambient Lighting
Added more ambient lighting in the center console and doors, it literally transformed the interior, door ambient lighting is dynamic on the top, also added all the fake crystal I could find

Center console is one kit, all 4 door another kit, so 2 different kits, center console fairly easy install, doors require removing door panels, and slight disassembly of each door panel, a little patience not easy but doable, both kits 100% plug and play, no coding, can display any color

Now you just need cup holders with silver trim and ambient lighting to complete the look

Quality is pretty good, they look great to me, I’m pretty sure it’s not real crystal because the real BMW crystal parts seem to cost a ton more, so not sure what’s it’s made out of but they certainly don’t look cheap or crappy

That looks sick.
I've been eyeing on the crystal kit for my G20 LCI as well. The stock gear selector has a small ambient light strip on the top of the selector. Does that light pass through this crystal selector as well? It's very hard to determine this from the pictures. Also how hard was it to install the ambient lights on the doors? Thanks. |

IndotagSwizz ,
The lighting looks great! To allay your concerns about posting sources, I can tell that I posted the URL of the mud flaps & other stuff I added to my car. Besides if there's a problem, administrator will take care of it. So, would you be kind enough to post the web link (URL) or at the name of the kits you got? Thanks

The light does shine thru but it’s barely visible tho if you look closely when you have it install you can see it lights up, in my opinion the visual looks so much better I can careless that the stock selector light up brighter. Here’s the why the difference in brightness between the “Crystal” and stock LCI gear selector: The stock selector is hollow, inside there’s a separate clear acrylic piece that helps transferring the light from the led source to the selector…simple enough.. The “Crystal” LCI selector obviously cannot be hollow because you can see thru it..therefore the acrylic piece that helps the light travel from the led source to the selector has nowhere to go, this is why the light is still visible but not as bright. Hope this helps

Also how hard was it to install the ambient lights on the doors? It def not the easiest but if you have done some DIY’s and have a little patience once you do the first door it gets a little easier. You do have to remove the door panels and you are going to need either a plastic soldering tool or some sort of plastic rivet kit. Light bars wedge in between the top door panel and the panel below that panel therefore you have to remove the rivets that hold those 2 panels together in order to fit the bars and then either reseal the same rivet points with a plastic soldering tool or some sort of plastic rivet Sounds a little scary but not that hard at all
