Steering wheel

Does anybody have a aftermarket steering wheel? I was wondering how it affects the hands on wheel sensing for keeping the car in lane I think all g20 models have this as standard and even though I don’t like it I want to retain as much oem stuff as possible but I really like the look of some of these carbon wheels with the lights in for the revs at the top but just want to ensure the features are retained

The hand off detection feature is based on the mat that wrapping around the OEM steering wheel and this mat plugged into the sensor unit. To use aftermarket wheel, you either to find the one which also has the built-in sensor mat. Or you have to bypass the HOD altogether with an simulator (i.e wheel without mat, or carbon fiber wheel). It bypasses the sensor but still retains the feature and better.

I’m thinking of getting an aftermarket steering wheel for my G26 and just wanted to confirm that aftermarket wheels do indeed retain the hands on sensing feature?
