Yes, the black with green was a 50th anniversary edition. The green/green is the current model. I recently tried on the current green with green and there's no mistaking the dial for black at ANY angle. It screams "I am a green watch! green! green! green!" So much green.

If you look at the first picture at the bottom the dial looks black. This was the case when I tried it on. At close range it's all green. But look a bit far away (in the mirror for example), it looks like a black dial with green bezel. |

Located an excellent condition 16610LV (green bezel with black dial) for $7,500. Seems like a pretty good price but sight is unseen (only spoke with the jeweler who is reputable in the midwest). So tempted to bite...it's a gift for my pops. Uncertain on the lime freen that is the Kermit.
Side note: amazing how the older models/years have held their value or actually gone up over the years. The 16800 or 16610 models from the 90's-early 2000's cost just as much to buy used as a 2007 or newer models. Last edited by BMW F22; 04-15-2017 at 02:04 PM.. |

I find the older 5 digit models better looking than the 6 digit.

What's a reasonable price on a complete, excellent condition LV? I was thinking around $8k but some sellers are asking ridiculous sums ($10,000-16,000). Last edited by BMW F22; 04-25-2017 at 10:36 PM.. |

This conjures up memories - last time I saw s/b wearing them this way, they were hanging out by the subway offering them for a 'surprisingly good price' because they had a sick relative needing an operation - but guaranteed legit, honest.

Rolex Sky Dweller is now available with stainless steel and two tone with references 326934 and 326933 .
I find the blue dial 326934 the most attractive but Rolesor (two tones for not familiar with Rolex terms ) silver dial is too beautiful as well

That two tone submariner is about the only two tone watch I look at that is just so nice it looks good while all other two tone watches look dated. Two tone is totally out - hardly anyone even sells a two tone watch at this time. The blue dial just really sets it off. Very much like the white gold version - but $10,000 cheaper!

Anyone got recs for a small-scale rolex dealer? I've been looking for the 116500ln and wait lists are 5+ years long

Yes, I have it. It's a very unique watch but unfortunately it's an underrated watch. It's big hefty and unapologetically showy

LOL, you know you don't need to own a boat or know about what a regatta racing is to not be able to buy yourself such a great watch per se most Submariner Owners aren't real divers at all
