Sounds like it may not be worth it and I may have no choice but to settle for less than my desired setup.
Hey, I was wondering if you ever ended up swapping the tires and if so how that is holding up for you? Like you, I have a square 19x8 with 225 RFT all season tires on my m340. The performance so far (<500 miles) has been less than ideal in terms of grip so I'm thinking to replace with Michelin PS4S with 235 front / 245 rear keeping the same OEM wheels.

You should always consult the equivalence table when changing the tyre size.

Also - don't be mixing types (summer, all season, winter) as it'll have adverse effect on handling/grip

I see, thanks for the info. It looks like I'll be moving to 235 square setup or 235 front / 245 Rear if it fits.

I switched to 235 squared, mostly so I could rotate tires and reach the end of my lease driving minimally on the OEM runflats. I did not try 245s, but I saw another user on here that does have 245s on the front 19x8 without spacers.

225 or 235 width is ideal for a 8" wide wheel. Max tire width is 245 however the tire shop may have a nightmare trying to get run flats in that size on a 8" wide wheel. And your only choice is 245/35 which is 3.5mm shorter sidewall than the oem tire 255/35.

You may or may not have issues with the speedo accuracy and/or some options such as DA+. I'm just not sure and don't want to recommend in the blind.
Thanks for the reply. Appreciate your feedback. Called NTB this afternoon and they wouldn't do it- ideally if I could put 245's that would be fine, but like you I'm not sure if it would work or if it's even advisable. I am happy with the all seasons, just prefer the staggered look - more sporty.
Off topic, but I have staggered/mixed tires and never realized they looked different? Or maybe they lied to me too haha I'll go check the tires tomorrow

Hey I got the same set up as you. I thought with the 19". That the rim in the back is wider so you can put wider tires on. I was planning on keeping the 225 run flats on and summer time buy a nice set of tires with 255 in rear. Did you find out if you can or not. Again I thought front rim was 8" and rear 8.5". I hope I'm not wrong. This is what I could find.

If you're car came with the 225/40r19 square set up then your rear wheels are only 8 and not 8.5. The 255 wont work unfortunately.

HXTX20 Hey, I am on the same boat as you were, a square 19x8 with 225 RFT all season tires on my m440. I am thinking about a 235 or 245 square setup as an upgrade.

Do you have any rubbing or speedo issues with the 235 setup?

Sir, do you recommend 235/40/19 Michelin Pilot Sport instead of Pirelli run flat 225/40/19?? Can you tell if it would have some problems with the warranty? Thank you very much in advance!
