Has anyone measured the pipe diameter for the M Performance Exhaust? I want to see if I can use aftermarket tips instead of the carbon ones.

From the product literature I read you can install the carbon fiber tips on both the standard muffler or the MP muffler. So that makes me think the pipe diameter is the same.

On mine you can hear the pops and burbles with sport plus. Not so much in standard sport.

Yes I'd love to know this as well. And for an M-Performance exhaust, do you notice any change in 'performance' or is it just a different aural pattern from the exhaust?

M Performance Exhaust is purely for the sound. I didn't notice any performance improvement.

Yup. A couple of HP at most that one won't notice at all! But it does sound decent.

Oh no sir. My car is completely stock save for the JB4.
I've seen a couple of videos on youtube (one of which is in the first page of this thread). There's another one I've linked below and a third one that I just can't seem to find at the moment. I believe the third video was in Thai or Mandarin Chinese. I'll link that too if I find it.

No. It's a $2,000 port installed option.

Last week I got a loaner with the mp exhaust. It sounds good, I personally wouldn't buy it as I would want something louder but definitely can hear pops and bangs a little more. It may sounds louder by disconnecting the flaps.

You can code sport + using bimmercode or esys. Very easy to do.
