I had no issues setting up my iPhone XS with my G20.

Completely failed to set it up with the 12 Pro Max.

Has anyone successfully setup Digital Key on any of the new iPhone 12 series?

Don't you first have to remove/disable the digital key from your old iPhone before setting up a new master digital key on your new one?

Done all of that unfortunately.
Reported to both Apple and BMW.
It errors as soon as you put the phone onto the NFC reader. Just wondering if the MagSafe magnets are upsetting the NFC reader?

Finally after many tries got it working.

Added the key back to my old phone and instead of deleting it in the car first, removed it from the Apple Wallet, then the car.

Added to to my iPhone 12 and it then added successfully first time.

So the sequence of removal is important, wallet first then the car.

I wonder how I can get this to work on my iPhone 12 max. I have the digital key but my cars software version is 3/2020 and In the connected portal I see digital key for Samsung not Apple.

I believe you need both a post July 2020 manufactured car and 07.2020 or later software.
I believe there hardware changes to cater for iPhone NFC.

My car was manufactured in July but the software in the car was 3/2020

I think it needs to be August and on. My car was also built in July and I am on 7/2020.xx but no digital car key for iphone
