US prices are steep!

North of the border, I just took delivery of my well equipped 2020 M340i. Packages are note exactly the same, but I built one as close as possible on bmwusa.com. The MSRP in USD is $68,720 and I paid CAD $60 200 (USD $46 129). The MSRP CAD was $74k ish. I got a really good deal since they were getting rid of the 2020 models.

2020 M340i xDrive Sedan
Shadowline ($300)
Mineral White Metallic ($550)
19" M Double-spoke jet black wheels, style 791M with high performance non run-flat tires ($1,500)
Cognac Vernasca Leather with contrast stitching ($1,450)
Driving Assistance Package ($700)
Driving Assistance Professional Package ($1,700)
Parking Assistance Package ($700)
Premium Package ($1,400)
Adaptive M Suspension ($700)
Front and Rear Heated Seats ($350)
Remote Engine Start ($300)
Wireless Charging and WiFi Hotspot ($500)
Harman Kardon surround sound system ($875)
Destination & Handling ($995)
Total Price (MSRP): $68,720

That is a NASTY deal. You got 33% off a brand-new car. Granted it probably sat a bit at the dealer, but still that's almost my exact build and I'm paying way more than that for a 2021MY.

I was told by the dealership that they were passing along an incentive from BMW Canada that was only good in November. On top of that, I was eligible for a fleet rebate (also from BMW Canada). The dealership is part of a massive conglomerate, I don't worry that there will plenty of gifts under the tree this Christmas.

Ha ha ha! They actually gave me a bag with goodies... Two caps, two mask and an umbrella. All but the umbrella were branded with the dealership name so I'll give them away. In Canada, we also get maintenance for 4 years.

I just picked up a 2021 M340i xDrive. As sad as it may be with the new hybrid it doesn't seem to bad. Will have to do downpipe and a tune to get that burble noise. But here's my price that I got.

MSRP: $60,835
Sale price: $55466.60
Out of Pocket: $851 (First month and DMV Fees probably)
Monthly: $674.75

Packages:
Shadowline
19" wheels
Driver assistance package

You guys think I got a good deal out of that one?

It's hard to say since deals depend on where you live, your credit etc. The worst thing you can do is go on forums and ask if you got a deal because the majority of people will say you got ripped off and how they got some outrageous deal etc. If you're happy and can make the payments it shouldn't matter. There's always a person who got lucky and scored a unicorn deal to make you question yours.

Me too. I guess BMW is not in the "December to remember" game. I placed an order last week. Hopefully the programs are better by the time the car arrives in Jan. or Feb.

Hey, so i have owned BMW for the past 15 years and have always bought from my local dealer and felt i was getting a good price....a buddy of mine recently used a broker (was his old CA but now started his own broker business) so i contacted him to he's offering me 10.4% off for an m340 (for my son) but ive never used brokers so im a little iffy about it.
1. is it a good deal?
2. should i trust a broker?

A broker is fine. Depends on if they're reputable.

You can get 10% from a dealer, but you just need to find one. Best I've seen from a dealer is 12.5%.

Brokers are good as long as they are reputable. I used one to get my car. He got me a better deal than all the places I inquired from and went in to talk to. Sometimes it gets tiring to negotiate and with how busy life is, I figured just to let them do the work. No fees either, I assume the dealership pays him.
