Hoping I'll get the OTA any day now if not I have a service appointment next week for an oil change and I'll have them do an update too.

I'm thinking they will update it too when I go in due to my sunroof not closing. I tried the reset trick but that didn't work either.

So far I've only had one OTA update and that was a minor one from 11/2019.xx to another 11/2019.nn

Sorry, I just got my car a month ago so I'm not sure how it really works yet.

I've only had one minor OTA update, my car notified me that it had an update. Not my phone, but eventually my BMW connected app did have the message too.

I had a stage 2 tune and my car just went into the dealership. they updated me to 07/2020.60. Before going in i got the OTA notification but was told not to update because i’d lose tune. I indeed lost my tune so trying to figure out what to do next as i have a full tank of e30 mix

Just did my first OTA update. Download took one our, installation 20 mins. Now on 07/2020.54 with a checkbox for rear daylight lights, Android auto, cloud based navigation and more.

I got the upgrade yesterday, I'm in Bulgaria,Europe. To be honest nothing good from this upgrade.. only cool feature is that now Apple maps is displayed on headup and cluster.. However in my case Apple maps sux for Bulgaria so I never use it, I use either waze or google maps which are not supported for HUD... My cluster is changed a little bit, got daylight rear lights and beside that my digital key is not working now properly when I click on car status I don't see anything, so for me this upgrade was pretty useless even broke some features that used to work..

If you don't use Apple maps don't upgrade, doesn't worth it.

Just had a customer that we tuned last week with stage 2 software. Over the weekend he claims he parked the vehicle and and came back around an hour later the vehicle would not start nothing on the dash (black) and after 20 min the vehicle screen said updating and the car started up. Tune is gone remotely.

I've had 07/2020.35 and am now getting an OTA update to 07/2020.54. No idea what the differences are.

And I'm nowhere near the Bay Area or California for that matter.

I guess depends on phone, I got Iphone 11 Pro and it transfer it for like 5 minutes or so. Installation was a little bit more than 20 minutes, but as I said above nothing special, beside rear daylight.

Ok, so after 5 days of waiting for the update to start and 50 mile drive the other day to charge the battery with no luck, I got my hands on a charger.
It was charging for good few hours before it indicated full charge. Notification appeared this morning without starting the engine. All done in about 10 minutes.

Upgraded from 07/2020.48 to 07/2020.54

Not only lost but your ecu will be locked if it was before. meaning the ecu will have to come out and be bench flashed instead of obd2 flashed for guys on a old enough software version.
