2020 330xi — brakes feel... not very responsive?

I'm about 2500 miles into my car, came from an Audi A4. The Audi had very sticky responsive braking. Felt like I could brake on a dime. The G20 that I have, since day one, I feel like I really need to push down to get braking and the "stickiness" just doesn't feel there.

Is it generally known that the standard brakes on the g20 isn't that great or am I possibly having a braking problem? I feel like I need a lot more room to brake than I traditionally did with my Audi.

The brakes don't feel great. As you said, you have to apply a lot of force for them to really bite. For comparison, the brakes on current X5s are very grabby with less force.

Not sure about actual stopping distance. Should be more or less the same as the A4 and C300. I think tires have more of an impact here.

It's the same for me with the stock brakes, I have a 2020 RWD G20. Even with upgrading to the M-Performance brake kit, there is still alot of pedal travel before feeling the stopping power. Though according to my SA it is because it's still in its break-in period.

For reference, I drove a 2021 330i as a loaner and the brakes felt much more responsive with a stronger initial bite. Curious to hear others' experiences.

I currently have a 330e M Sport 2021 model (RWD) and I consider its breaks are too poor when compared to my previous car a 330i M Sport model 2020 (RWD), which by its turn had poor brakes when compared to my previous, previous car a MB series E.

I'm considering the possibility to change the brake pads to EBC Yellow Stuff to see if I can get more break bite. I'm not considering a BBK upgrade yet.

If you mean the B9 A4, then yes. Those cars have much better brakes than the 330i. The B9 brakes are grabby and can be moduled easily. And they stop much much better than the G20.
