Coding "sprint function" on M340i

Hi, while waiting for my new 2021 M340i i was watching some youtube presentation. I've seen one about M440i, which has a "sprint function", that is while cruising or making a overtaking and you need fast all the power, you press the left paddle shifter for more the 1 second, and you have all the power you need to overtake, without taking your eyes from the road. I think it's valid while driving in comfort or eco mode.

Has anybody used it?

Check out at minute 6:47

I suggest on trying that function directly. My guess is that it's already activated. I have a 320xd G20 with Sport Transmission and I have this "sprint" function

The ZF8 has always done this, it just doesn't show up "sprint" in the dash.

Same as if you hold down the right paddle, it will put you back into D if you are in manual mode

I have Sprint mode from factory (in M440i) by long pull on left paddle. I think it gives more aggressive gear shifts than a normal kick-down from Adaptive/Comfort modes.

My M340i has this by default. Just hold down the left paddle for a few seconds and it drops to the lowest viable gear.

Nope, not on mine 2022 M340i. Tried several times, just drops one gear. Tried it in a few different drive modes.

You can code it using Protool on Android in gearbox module

You don't need to code anything.

Just hold down the left paddle. It's on by default so long as you have a new enough istep

Figured this would be built in and not needed to be coded...

Before the update it would not say sprint and would
Not open the exhaust flap.

Thanks, we must try, it’s a shame that even for 320d there is this function, but not on my m340!
