Awaiting arrival of my 2021 M340
All,
Not completely new here, but new enough. Long story. In any case, I am awaiting "delivery" of my 2021 M340. I have previously owned 2 E36 M3's, an E Series 525i Touring, an F Series 340, and currently about to send in trade my F series 2017 330i Sedan. I am COMPLETELY STOKED to drive my M340. I can't wait to get behind the wheel. Here she is at the dealer before the dealer I am using took it off their hands for me... Will let you know soon. Should be here within 10 days!!! MB |

Thanks chenry...indeed it should make what has been a pretty crappy 2020 better - well, at least the end of it.

Thanks guys...eforty6_m3 I see that you use yours as a daily too. I looked at a number of options - Gran Turismo, Vette, and used M3 etc, but this looked like the perfect combo of useable daily when I am sitting in DC traffic and canyon carver on the weekends. I hear everyone saying in comfort and Eco that it works well for that, but when I watch them hammer the go pedal it seems to make everyone smile. Is that your take?

I just picked up my Mineral Gray Metallic M340 today and it's insane. The B58 engine is really amazing especially when the tune is available in the 2021 version.
The things I really hate on the car is the Run Flat tires because their noisy and a harsher ride. I own a rim and tire spot so I'm just going to change them in the coming spring. Also just to give you a early heads up, theirs no way to disable the auto start/stop feature in comfort mode. That's one thing that killed it for me. The exhaust is still nice but compared to the 2020 it's different. If you're expecting the burble noise I hate to be the bearer of bad news, you won't hear it as much. But all in all, solid car and I enjoy it. So I think you're going to enjoy it as well |

As far as the runflats, I have changed them out on two of my previous BMWs but we'll see how they are on this one. When I did I had some mild remorse as the car got a little bit wollowy after I went to the non runflats. It's a tradeoff but without a spare we are toast without them. Is there room in the boot for a spare? Does BMW now sell them?

Sadly no room for a spare.l but I mean for me I live in nyc so a tire shop is like every 5 blocks for me. I'm already looking to measure the specs to run staggered on the car.
The burbles are there so it's not that bad. I enjoy the car as it is right now. |
