Has anyone managed to install a dash cam in their BMW g20?

I have moved my Orskey dash cam from my old F32, where I had a handy cigarette lighter power point discreetly located in the glove box.

This is not present in my G30. If I plug it in to either the USB A point by the wireless phone charge tray or the USB C connector in the centre arm rest, I cannot get past the mass storage screen on the device.

If I plug it into the cigarette lighter power point by the wireless charging tray, It works fine, but then the lead sticks up a couple of inches and I cannot close the lid over the charging tray which looks absolute rubbish and not very discreet at all.

I hard wired my Thinkware and placed the Cell Link Neo 6 battery by the 12v starter battery.
