10 days driving Sunshine Coast and up and down Vancouver Island in a rental G20 330i

Last week I completed a 10 days trip driving up the Sunshine Coast and then up and down the length of Vancouver Island. Although Vancouver is still "home", I personally live and work in Ontario now, so when I take leave and come back here I normally have no access to a car. So ever since shipping my vehicle over I have not been able to take the ferries and drive on some of my favorite roads. This summer block leave I decided to make use of the same company that I rented an M850i Gran Coupe for 17 days in Germany with, they happened to have a small presence here in Vancouver. I picked up a G20 330i xDrive from them for my trip, and here are the pictures embedded from my Google Photos albums. Camera setup is a Canon EOS R8 + Canon RF 24-70mm L IS USM.

The pickup in Vancouver:

Horseshoe Bay to Sechelt and Pender Harbour in Sunshine Coast's south coast:

Earls Cove to Powell River in Sunshine Coast's north coast:

At the end of Highway 101 at Lund then down by Powell Lake:

Powell River Historic Townsite:

In the City of Powell River:

Onto Vancouver Island, driving from Comox to Gold River:

From Campbell River up to Port Hardy with stops at Sayward and Port McNeill:

Driving back down to Nanaimo via Woss:

Driving from Nanaimo to Victoria via the Pacific Marine Circle Route, with stops at Lake Cowichan, Fairy Lake, Port Renfrew, Jordan River and Esquimalt Lagoon in Colwood:

Final day of the trip, visiting a trio of National Historic Sites of Canada: Fort Rodd Hill, Fisgard Lighthouse and Hatley Park, then taking MV Queen of New Westminster back to the Lower Mainland:

Excellent photos & mineral grey is a great color. I want to take a big road trip too. But I wouldn't wash the car until it was back home & could be gently washed by hand. The front windshield would have to be washed daily though. LOL
