48 Hours With My New 2019 330i xDrive

Med. Blue
Cognac Leather
Maple Open Pore
Convenience
Premium
Executive
Ambient Lighting
HK Sound
Remote Start

Picked up car and drove around the neighborhood. Then yesterday, I took it on an almost 400 mi. trip from Northern NJ to Buffalo, NY.

Car rode beautifully, and I got over 35 mpg. This was using the Cruise Control for approx 300 of the 400 miles (last 75 miles was on 2 lane roads).
Only had one "incident" with the bluetooth not connecting - I restarted the phone and it was fine. Switching between default iDrive and CarPlay was easy, though not as easy as the Chevy I rented last week. BMW has a way to go here.
The front driver's side camera is misaligned. This seems to be a software issue mentioned elsewhere.

I'm coming off a 2016 640xi, so while I miss the Nappa Leather and the soft-close doors, the updated electronics and the more nimble handling and better gas mileage makes up for it.

Congrats on your car. What made you decide on a 3 series coming from a 640I? I am actually getting rid of my 7 series after owning five. Tired of a bigger car and evertime I drove my daughters 3, I really enjoyed it. Also I am tired of parking it and really dont need that much car anymore.

Since the F06 variant was released, I always wanted a 6er. Perhaps the most beautiful car BMW has ever produced, IMO. I got into the 640 though an executive lease, where I got the car with 7k miles. Car was loaded and had a sticker of $100k, yet the lease price that was about the same as a 540. I was driving a lot more, had a longer commute in 2016.

Fast forward to 2019, with a job change, I'm only driving 6k mi/yr, and am virtually always driving alone. Wanted something smaller, and probably would have gone with the X3, had the 2019 had the Live Cockpit.

Which car? Your'e quoting a post that mentions both a F06 and X3 and are doing so in a G20 thread..

Actually, I'm driving the G20. I came out of an F06, and considered the X3.
