Eyesight wasn't a requirement.
The beating will occur simply because he IS wrong. He'll be like our personal piñata; swing like our lives depended on it.

I live and play in Las Vegas so I'm used to betting the long shot. What evidence do I have you ask? None of course. I just hope for the long shot and pray. Well, that and there's no place for a license plate :

Oh the license plate will be smack-dab in the middle, just like the European plate will be. I have to appreciate your "Las Vegas betting man" approach. Most aren't sore losers.

This was funny and entertaining about 2mos the ago and now it's just straight up annoying and frankly wastes way to much space here, I'm sick of having to scroll through it to pick out actual convo related to the thread. Think it's time to throttle back now bud ur points been made ...

Wait, that makes too much sense.

Instead, let's whine and continue with the hyperbole, chicken little mentality instead.

I actually find the stubborn doubters much more annoying. I mean there are so many indications but some people still think that's all just wrong speculations or even BMW is just trolling us. You may like it or not, but that big grille will come and there's no way BMW is going to change anything.

Agree with you on that equally as well. I was never a doubter if you look back, all im sayin is can we stop wasting space chiding people about it one way or another. Lets get back to the solid content this board was once known for ...

^^^This! That's part of the reason why I can't wait for this car to be officially revealed so people can get over it and the conversation can move onto different aspects/merits of the new car.

I think all the hype over these grills really keeps the interest and debates going. I've been checking Bimmerpost way more lately. Good marketing job BMW!

Yes. If this was leaked 3 years ago it could have been a “testing the waters” move. Now with not only one but 4! more or less production ready cars sporting this grill. (M3, i4, 4 coupe, 4 GC) the chances that it will be changed is less than zero.

It says a lot when this rather simple concept is still lost on some.

Funny story...

Scott did say he was one of the advocates for "radical change" in design language.

The fact that he defends this change so wholeheartedly might be an implication that he might get his ass cut off from BMW should the sales fail

If you like his contributions to the forum, buy one for Scott!

Actually SCOTT said the design was radical, not sure he* actually likes it either if you read between the lines.

And regarding SCOTT, there is no reason to believe he* is a single entity, more likely a team member which as a group post to help drive/steer convo that bmw wants to be discussed...and certainly he* had no decision authority on this radical design language, thats the top of the house stuff, not marketing.

Glad he* is here none the less

I dunno, he has always seemed to be very positive when talking about the new design.

The new grille

Grille sort of reminds me of two of these (from an automotive legend)! What's wrong with just making a beautiful car, e.g. Aston Martin? Looks like they're trying too hard to be different, or from another point of view be like Toyota/Lexus/Audi. As an architect I hate designs that are different just to be different with no apparent justification.
