I've sat in a C43 sedan and a convertible and I'll say that it seems a couple of notches up from my M3. The seats are attractive, as is the steering wheel and even that dark wood dash. I didn't drive it but I got to rev the engine outside in the convertible and it sounded very nice. Not as loud as the M3 but deep and smoother. I'm not sure if that car had the performance exhaust.
I also sat in the G20 and I wouldn't say it was nicer than the C43. It was definitely more modern if you like the techy look. The plastic down by the shifter needs a redo. Very cheap looking. It's a nice refresh from the F30 but I don't think I liked it as much as the current C. Performance wise in a straight line they will be similar. The C43 runs 12.7ish at 112 or something and I think the one video of the M340 was similar. But if I recall the C43 only pulled about 0.93 on the skid pad which is more than enough for the street but not as high as many sportier cars. On the exterior, I like the C43 sedan but I don't love it. I feel like it needs to be in black (and I hate taking care of a black car) to look a little mean, otherwise comes across soft. I think in terms of sedans, the G20 M-sport is nicer. The C43 coupe is nicer and looks more special than the sedan. |

I agree that the C43 looks it's price, but the M340i does not.
If the C43 were to adopt the new active suspension going into the new GLE, it would be a no-brainer for me. But it won’t happen until the next generation since the 48v electrical system is required for it. |
