A used M3 is definitely worth it because the market is flooded with them so they're cheap, but I've found most people that buy them use them as commuter cars. For use as such, the M340i probably makes more sense. I priced out a moderately optioned RWD car at $59,300+dest. |

Man, its all gone left field.
Fully optioned out F30 340xi's were riding around price-wise where these are with no options. Great looking car and probably drives even better, but G80 Pure is pretty much going to be a better option for 70-75k. Shoot my previous F80 ZCP was 73k with DCT. It's nice but I can't justify spending 65k on this thing fully loaded.

I've heard the SensaTec has improved. All I needed were the 19's, Driver Assistance Pkg, ZPP, Wireless Charging and PDC. |

The price increase comparably equipped seems to be about $4k-$5k. You also get an electronically locking differential and some new nannies and the live cockpit pro. And you have to factor in 6 years of inflation. It's not ridiculous. It's just BMW's way of forcing most of the people who wanted the high performance option to just go full out on the sport options. I'll be opting out for the M3 pure, personally, but I don't think this is out of line. |

I'm referring to the builder which should have it included at that price. I'm not in the market for a sedan, and if I was it would be an F90.

I live in the OC now, and of course not a lot of Xi's here, but if a client was really leaning towards one of these for practicality and luxury over an M3, the price AND all the new trinkets don't justify the means to me. Just an opinion. Its like the M550. Most people don't need M5's so Its the next best way to go, but you'll still spend the premium. The price gap used to be so well spread out but between inflation and better engineering/technology, its all going up very quickly.

Interesting that on this m340i there is an option for Dravit Grey (individual) but its a 1,950$ cost. Wonder when this will be an option for U.S for the 330i and will it cost the same?

I don't want a sedan unless it's an M5, I prefer the V8 even though the B58 is an incredible engine. I have no doubt the S58 will be too once it's on the road via the new X3/4M + Comp models.

So the 0-60 is exactly as the quoted M4 figures from BMW. Pretty nuts when you think about it. The next M4 is going to be a beast!

Real tires are more comfortable than RFT's. I realize they're slowly lightening up on those horrible things, but M's aren't necessarily any less comfortable than the non M's.

I had non-RFT's on my X3 M40i, it did not help that much. I have a back issue from an accident years ago so comfort comes first. Roads by me are also anything but smooth 60-75% of the time so in a city, it would be fine, where I live that's a big no sadly. I sold my M40i for that reason and got the X5 50i instead. Whenever I move this won't be an issue anymore.
