Waiting on my M340i allocation

Hey guys,

Just signed the paperwork for 2 new leases. My fiancee got a 2020 X4 M40i and I went with the 2020 m340i xDrive. We went through a bunch of dealers and I believe got the best prices we can. The x4 has an MSRP of $68,020 with 10k miles a year and $2k down including first month for $680/month and my m340 has an MSRP of $65,970 with 10k miles and the same down for $610. If i bring down my MSRP to $65k my total monthly will be $580 (I changed my color from mineral grey to dravity grey, hanse the increase in msrp and increase in monthly).

Ill include the pics of my builds and just wanted to see opinions on what you guys think. My fiancee's car already went into production but I'm still waiting on an allocation and can technical change the build still. Still wondering if the color is worth the price increase and if maybe other options are worth it instead. If anyone needs the sales guys info please pm me.

Congrats!

As for the color, I would definitely recommend dravit grey. I had the same concern when I originally ordered it (is it really worth the $2k premium) and now that I've had my car for a couple weeks I can most definitely say it was well worth it. Such a unique and dynamic color, unlike any grey on the road. On a darker, overcast day, it looks like a very dark, almost black color, and in sunlight totally different with gold flakes.

Dealt with Shirley. Turn around was quick and was really stress less to deal with her. Few of my friends also get cars from her.

we worked with someone else but were pleased with his help too. I just hope they get the allocation soon and this doesn't drag out too long.

From my understanding if a dealer is having issues securing an allocation, they can secure one from another dealer that does have them in a similar fashion as trading inventory.

That being said, I can't imagine dealers having an issue with an m340 allocation, they're not limited production. When I ordered mine in early September I got the allocation for it within 2 days.

This was my timeline:

Order Received 9/6
Production No. Received 9/9
Scheduled For Production 9/10
Production Begins 9/11
Exterior Body Assembly Begins 9/17
In Paint Booth 9/18
Entering Assembly Line 9/19
Assembly In Progress 9/19
Quality Check 9/19
Final Assembly 9/20
Ready For Transport 9/20
Awaiting Carrier Assignment 9/20
Dispatched From Factory 9/20
At The Port (Germany) 9/27
In Transit 10/2
At The Port (US) 10/12
In Transit (US) 10/18
At The Dealership 10/19
Ready for Pickup 10/22
Vehicle Delivered 10/26 (I was busy with work that week so had to wait till the 26th to pick it up)

So all in all, roughly a month and a half. Which I thought was insanely quick considering I opted for dravit grey which is in individual color and it was fully loaded. My X5 that was being built in South Carolina took a full 8 weeks.

I'm loving Dravit and how dynamic it is in different lighting. Really have to see it in person to truly appreciate it, pics don't do it justice.

As for the pricing, here's the deal I got:

MSRP: $68,970
Sale Price: $62,100 (10% discount)
Incentives: $2k loyalty; $1k lease cash
Adjusted Cap Cost: $59,100

Monthly Payment: $ 667 (including tax)
Drive-Off Amount: $ 6,023 (7 MSD-$4,900 + 1st month payment-$667 + Fees-$455)
Months: 36
Annual Mileage: 12,000
MF: .00128
Residual:60%

Hi, any luck yet with your order? I ordered mine on 11/15 and still in "order received" still wondering if they're holding production on the M340.

Called BMW and sales person says the used for my order the highest priority "code".

I was hoping for Christmas Day but now I feel will be January.

Hey, it changed to "scheduled for production" a few days ago. The BMW NA rep i spoke to told me that it scheduled for production on the 50th week (week of December 9th). Given that its finished that week and shipped out, im hopping for mid January....

My M340i is scheduled for week 50 as well. I received a production number on the 8th. I'm debating whether to add a few options before it hits 150.

I got mine from Sean at Bayside BMW, picked it up 2 weeks ago. They had an allocation on Sept 20 when I ordered it. BTW you'll love the car... it's awesome!
