Lens Help

i have a Canon Xsi and am beginning to shoot more and more i like shooting cars and its probably the only thing i do shoot right now i have the standard lens the kit lens but i want to upgrade. my list of wants:
good for car shooting
i live in florida so lots of light but i also like night shots
i also would like to be able to take rolling shots
bokeh capable
under 200 dollars

now i understand that all of these might not fit into one lens but is there a lens that can fit into most of those categories?

Would you roll on T rated tires? Don't shoot with a $200 lens.

Learn how to maximize the lens you have first, buy some photo editing software and read some camera forums--- POTN (Canon specific) or get a Bogen 190 series pod.
200 ISO and F8

A comment about the blue sky shots with the car. The sky is so blue it makes you look at it rather than the car, it's all about the focal point.

It's not all about the body and lens, imo. There are some photogs that shoot phenomenal photos with much cheaper bodies and glass than the equipment many of us own.

I think you should learn as much as you can with your kit lens, then when your ready to move on, you will know what you want/need.

Usually everyone buys a SuperWide, and a Telephoto..

Hi, I'm new to this forum but long time Canon shooter.

The simplest suggestion would be the 50 f/1.8
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...0mm_f_1_8.html

Maybe it is not wide enough for you tastes, the EF 35 f/2.0 isn't bad either but it is above your stated budget
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...e_EF_35mm.html

In the same price range you'll find the EF 24 f/2.8
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...e_EF_24mm.html

And the EF 85 f/1.8
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...Autofocus.html

As you can see, starting from 50 mm it is a price/apperture trade-off. Except for the 24 I own these and really enjoy them. Taking build and image quality into consideration these lenses are not as good as the L glass I own, but the four of them together won't pay for a decent L lens.

like the guys are saying...learn with what you have first then upgrade. I don't see you getting what you need for $200 though. If you want to shoot cars, you're gonna "want" (not need) a wide angle and the cheapest that has good reviews would be around $400(12-24 f4 Tokina). I say scoop up the nifty fifty for $100 because everybody at one point gotta have one in their bag...you won't be disapponted.
