Very bold - it is a concept after all. I do worry it may be too grille-centric and not capture the bmw design language that makes it a bmw (e.g., hoffmeister kink - although they do have a mini/modified one even here)

FYI, I made a comparison of BMW recent "series" concept and the actual production car:

Some of these recent decisions are almost as if they can’t come to an agreement in the board room, so they throw a blind dart and hope it hits some sort of target. |

Horrid. Literally bmw has hired the worst designers in their history, and the Q family has evidently all lost their vision. How/what/why?
This looks nothing like a bmw, and thats bad, and the grills look nothing like the concept CSL they were supposed to follow. Another epic fail, like the 8er and 7er. Way to go bmw with losing more loyal customers. P car here we come Last edited by m630; 09-10-2019 at 12:44 PM.. |

Common theme to note here is grill size never drastically changed in any of the production models here. This grill is definitely the real deal

The site should be renamed to "BEAVERPOST" with these huge and ugly front ends.

This is more or less showing us the likely production grill. I feel like the renders cater a tad more toward the production grill (... with regards to shape) than the concept car's grill, but any hopes of significant shrinkage should be jettisoned. Accept this new way forward.

The thing that changes the most is the HOOD LINE.
Imagine how much better the Z4 or previous 4 series (and all F series BMWs) would have looked with the hood line not in the middle of nowhere. Also what a beautiful Hoftmeister Kink had the current 4 series. Simply perfect. Like he previous 6 series one. |

The render is put out there as an idea of what the production car will be. PS. I am not hooping for or expecting anything.. the 4er is not on my shopping list and hasn't been since it's inception. if I needed a rebadged 6er I would just get a 6er.. As far as the size of the grille... I am sure it will be smaller in production than in any renders.. simply based on recent trend. I don't expect it to shrink to 2000s sizing at all... and it doesn't look horrible to me.. just different..... I DO find it interesting that the 3er grille and 4er grille appear to be so different.... Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 09-10-2019 at 12:00 PM.. |

I only just noticed they fitted a transparant EU size license plate for this model.
That’s clever. |
