Updated latest track day and setup. Happy to report that there were no real issues with the new setup.
We saw some rubber marks on the front struts, so I drew a few lines using tire markers to see if they would come off. Some of it eventually did, but we couldn't see any visible rubbing from the tires nor wheels. The struts were still smooth, so my theory is that the rubber marks are from actual rubber flying into them. Also, there seems to be some "rubbing" on the outer sidewall, but it doesn't seem to be due to the fenders since there's no buildup there, and the contact made to the sidewall isn't what's typically found when fenders are cutting into the tire. We're guessing it's from the plastic(?) vents in the wheel well making contact under load and with enough steering input. |
