Indeed! Oh, and isn't the G8X supposed to allow full deactivation of rev matching and complete deactivation of traction control as well?

Exactly another major complaints were some stated that the F8X MT was not an MT but a semi AT...so yes they listen even if it’s borderline nonsense...

...and they improved the sound and provided a better/racier seat option (...a less common complaint, but a complaint nonetheless).

Not gonna lie, I'd be interested in an all electric G22 if it did 0-60 in < 4 seconds and had at least a 350 mile range. Assuming they kept it under $50k or so anyway to compete with the Tesla Model 3. I'd much prefer a BMW to a Tesla.
I distinctly remember in one of the articles some time ago, BMW mentioned that the upcoming "i4" will be the top 4 Series coupe and that the price point will sit above the M4.

They recently published the "Impressive" edition of the iX3's starting price at €73400 ($83700) so I'd say it is safe to say that the BEV version of the G22 is going to be more than $80K.

With these prices, Model 3s will still outsell the i4 and the Nissan Ariya volumes will trounce those of the iX3.
Well to be fair, if the "Impressive" is the top of the line iX3 and the "Inspiring" is the entry level, we should cite the entry level pricing as well. If the i4 has an "Inspiring" trim level equivalent, it might very well be priced closer to Tesla's Model 3, thus becoming a more competitive option. Since it is bound only for China and Europe, I'm curious to know where Tesla's Model Y will be priced once it actually hits dealers. I believe BMW will have to adjust pricing if Tesla sticks with the low 50k range starting point for the LR MY.

I hardly see the new one not having a huge success! And this is before any comparative test which will prove again its superior dynamics

pretty sure hell will freeze over before this happens.

or, bmw will make one that has a range of 150km WLTP and does 0-60 in 8 seconds.it'll be a 2 door coupe hatchback "intelligent urban mobility vehicle"... Oh wait...that's literally the i3 minus two doors. I'm sure it must've been a smashing hit in the BEV market! let see this year's sales number....a whooping 252 sold in the US...nice

I'm sure a $80k entry level ICE SUV converted to fit a drop in BEV powertrain will undoubtedly be very impressive.

oh it's not coming to the US? ok... well i'm pretty sure the rest of world will enjoy it...oh wait its closest direct competitor has sold a whopping 700 units since launch? well, at least it'll be a quick production run.

or better yet, just cancel the damn car already...

Looks like he is a proper worker that spends his days designing stuff and not a polished carrier PR person that has been primed to say lines he doesn’t understand and look confident doing it.

This guy seems real and it’s not his day job to meet the press. I appreciate that BMW make these guys available, much preferable to a “spokes person”.

Agreed!

People here are always looking for a negative spin to everything. It reminds me of unhappy millennials who are angry about everything.

I rather had the impression that he is too low on the ladder to say no to this initiative. He openly confessed that he was responsable for the grill and by doing this, his neck is already locked in the guillotine in case the board asks for a sacrifice.

Fair enough. I got a different impression.

On the other hand, there are people here that seem like grumpy old men that complain whenever someone posts something that differs from their vision of the world.

Aka....much of the forum. Many of these topics become complaint threads more than they become anything of substance.........regardless of what side of the aisle you fall on. Intolerance towards others mostly comes from those who aren't a fan of BMW's current direction, which is why they seem agitated so often.

That's forums though.

Well, prior reveals and model releases were not inspired by Bugs Bunny and sponsored by Looney Toons!

Regardless of whether or not there's truth to that statement, what does that have to do with attraction?!?! Your statement doesn't nullify mine.

I'll reserve judgment when i see it in person. If it still doesn't fit the bill, then i'll just get a pre owned M6 coupe.
