BMW S. Africa site shows Skyscraper Grey, Aventurin Red, Individual Interior Options

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I was just around different official BMW sites and came across these unique or special colors that I haven't seen before, so I thought I'd better share it.

On top of the 2 unique colors, you can also see the BMW individual interior colors.

Wow wow wow that looks amazing!

I know it's not unique to this configurator, but I can't wait to see Brooklyn Grey in person. I really hoped Silverstone would be an option again, but if Brooklyn doesn't suit my tastes I might special order SS anyway.

Skyscraper Grey is very interesting. I was able to compare to Brooklyn Grey on the configurator and I like that's a little darker,

It's strange that this visualizer is missing Oxide Grey for the M3.

I thought maybe Skyscraper Grey was simply the local name for that color in SA. However, it is an M3-only color whereas Skyscraper shows up here for both the M3 and M4.

i ordered them without seeing them (or the car for that matter).

They look to be similar in the bolstering to the current competition pack seats. However, the side lower bolster will be night and day.

My concern is that as I am a total gym nut my legs may not fit into the bottom part of the seat with the side bolsters.

Someday you moderators need to get an intern and have them pour through the order guides for each country and break down
Difference by national market
Accuracy rate of online config tool by national market

I'm always curious how many of these thing we find are driven by actual market discrepancies vs human error setting the configuration up

I had a closed room private session where I could explore a M4 for almost 2 hours and the car had the bucket seats.

I found the comfort great for the time I was sitting in the car (15-20min), but hard to tell how it is on long trips... but OMG they look just amazing in person.

There is a lot of space at the bottom part of the seat, but of course I don't know how much "Hulk" you are

Thank you for that feedback, it is appreciated.

I am only 5'9" but I train legs 2-3 x a week for the last 20 years. I barely fit in my current CS seats. lol.

Was the car 6mt?

Looks like BMW has done away with the race track inspired names for their exterior colors.

Haha I see, well then it may get a bit tight, but it will be worth it

Nope, not manual, it was the competition and fully loaded in a individual frozen blue color, looked stunning, but as closed room unfortunately no pictures!

How did the thigh bolsters feel on those carbon seats? My biggest problem with all of these aggressively bolstered seats is usually the thigh bolster cuts into my thigh and it becomes very painful after a while.

think this would be my combo if I bite, still gotta see Brooklyn Grey in person to make sure it is a bluish hue of grey and would go with blue leather seats.
beautiful if it does

Do we know what the cost will be on the "individual interior"? Its not really like paint, shouldn't effect production like individual paint does.
Just looked up M8 and its the same $3500 for full individual leather as the standard colors just says might take longer to get it...
looks like at least in SA they are offering extended and full individual colors.

I noticed as well. They were eventually going to run out of racetracks. They had already picked all the "catchy named" ones (for the most part).
