It's now in the idrive menu, just like the other newer BMWs.

I'll reserve final judgment when until I see the car in the flesh next week, but right now I'm hoping the pictures aren't doing it justice because it looks like an absolute mess.

I like it so far. Interior seems to be a step forward. I like the front (including the headlights), the side view is okay as well.

The only thing I don't like are the taillights, I actually almost hate them, can't understand why they chose this design. As many have said, it looks too japanese and has zero german design language (and that's what I want when I buy a german car). And it kinda looks cheap, not modern and actually more like 90s design with this black part. It somehow makes the rear look "weak" (compared to the beefy/strong front).

But apart from that it's an overall good looking car.

I'll just go ahead and file this away with the E36 (stepping outside the design language boundaries to test public reaction and how much they can flex before ppl are like "wtf?!")

NEXT.

I was speaking of the horizontal knob that controls the temperature of the central air vents independent of the a/c system. You mean that quick, simple knob function is now buried in the iDrive menu? Ugh.

BTW, I had a 3 Series loaner early last year, but otherwise the newest BMW I've driven is my 2016 2 Series so I'm a little behind with the newer BMWs

Why are they made longer, wider, bigger each new generation? This issue goes with all the manufacturers too. What a weird world we live in now

The interior is a huge improvement... lets hope the driving experience is an improvement over F30 (albeit that's not exactly a hard thing to improve). Getting rid of the runflats and going for a normal suspension would be a huge improvement. Lets hope the steering isnt Lexus like as well.

Funny thing is some of the lexuses steer pretty good, IS, GSF, LC500, at least those from my experience lol

This car is kind of fugly. This is the first 3er generation that doesn't look good to me. Even the m sport isn't really all that exciting. I hope they do something special with the m3, but I'm not holding my breath.

I don't like it. And I was SO excited for it. And I REALLY don't like what they've done with the M40i's kidneys.

Also, where is the gear selector in those last couple photos? Am I missing something?

Overall, the Feedback on these live pictures are far more positive than the leaked pictures yesterday. No Wonder, it does give the G20 more justice, and i think seeing it live, it makes an even better impression. I think G20 is pretty much spot on, F30 was nice, this is a step up, and two steps up judging by the interiour. Well done BMW!
