Aside from not being able to unsee that M2C reverse fupa exhaust, this is quite an impressive showing for the new M340...now, if only they'd make an M340i xDrive wagon and ship it to the US!

As much as I would like to, I doubt the M4GC will happen. The same argument BMW used for the F80/82 is still valid for the G80/82. The ROI for BMW to have another M car with 4 doors based on the same platform is just not there

Insiders have passed along the M4 gran coupe is very likely. Limiting factor in the F8X was the hatch back layout not meeting rigidity standards (bmw didn't anticipate the success, and never planned for significant demand for an M version)

As you know they had no issue with M6, M6 gran coupe, and M5. Heck the M8 concept IS the gran coupe. The 4 door coupes are what's hot right now

Well, the M340i xDrive and M2C basically cost the same, so not a surprise.

The M340i probably costs more with some options added.

The post you replied to made no mention of manual. And the next m3 is coming with a manual as well as the M2C for quite some time as well. It's here for a bit longer my friend

Well considering a lot here consider M performance cars as 'wannabes', I think it is impressive

Certain 7 series and even the non-M 5 series out-drag the M2 in any guise.

It's no surprise manufacturers, not just BMW, continue to produce new models that trounce the older gen just as the f8x whoops the e9x in every measurable dept.

This is why these newer mass produced BMWs are treated like iPhones. Built in obsolescence because disposables not just technically, but more importantly, economically (i.e. leases aka rent-a-car).

Lower volume cars like the 911s fare better. Much better. It's the best weapon to defend against crazy deprecation (e.g. 1M).

That was cool. The M2 cp would appeal to me much more if you could get one for say 5-7% off and with M3/4 lease residuals.

There was a video on YouTube showing 440i xdrive on a canyon road course absolutely hauling ass around the corners would give an M2 a run for its money x drive traction is hard to beat. I posted it on the forum but can't seem to find it.
