Until my business gets back to a some what steady flow.....no bueno.

I do a lot of browsing for unique cars and good deals. Very descriptive history/service on this guys car.

This is a car that I would fly to see w/o much hesitation if times were steadier.

The only problem is that it is now a collector's car, and will no longer have the life it was designed for. I'd love to have a genuine CSL for track duty. But only crazy people, or rich, or both, would track such a car now.

Kind of sad, really.....

Yes, I know. That falls under the "rich" category, and maybe "rich and crazy."

At my last track event, a guy was tracking his Gallardo. Huge props for tracking the car and not being just a "boulevard cruiser" like so many other supercars....

The car is in Maryland. I agree on it being a tough decision to take this out to the track. But that is where it belongs.

Here are his comments.

All original GT parts have been installed: aluminum doors, GT front and rear adjustable spoilers, high volume oil pump, oil pan baffle, cloth seats, no sunroof, no ac, no sound deadening or heat insulation, under carriage diffusers, euro springs, vinyl flags and forged rims. In addition, the car comes with 16.6lb 17x9 rims, stainless steal brake lines, Supersprint header, euro resonator, Borla cat back, Turner short shift kit, VAC cold air intake, top-of-the-line-JVC, JL, MB Quartz, Precision Power stereo system, Sparco steering wheel, euro elipsoid headlights, clear markers, triple gauge cluster. I'm sure there are items I'm missing but this is the gist of it. This is truly a collector s car. It has been absolutely meticulously maintained by ME since I picked it up from the original owner 7 years ago with 17,000 miles. It has been garage kept, never driven in salt or snow, never been in an accident or even touched by a curb! It gets Zymol wax, Mobile 1 oil, Racing Blue brake fluid, Redline gear and tranny oil, original BMW filters all around when called for, by ME! You will not find many of these left in unmodified unwrecked form. I bought this car to drive, not sit in the garage, so it does have a few stone chips on the front end barely noticeable from 5 feet away. The interior is flawless! Never smoked in and has rarely seen a back seat passenger. It has been the most predictable, reliable and fun car I have ever owned.

Sick!!! I would be happy with a E36 M3 that is unmolested, this thing is a piece of history

Hmmmmm, some of those comments almost suggest it isn't a factory CSL. "All original GT parts have been installed"?? I'm not educated enough on E36 M3 CSLs to know if it is the real deal or not.

Your right. That is kind of how it reads. I think he just worded it wrong, if you will. All that is needed is the VIN.

The stereo is what get's me. I know you can just leave it in if not tracking and have a fun car with some tunes but how much could all that stuff weigh?

To those new to the BMW scene, that wing is standard BMW Motorsport equipment. It is NOT aftermarket rice.

See link below for all details on this car.

Personally, I think the high LTW wing on a not-LTW is kinda fail, but on a real one, it just makes sense.

+1 on the not rice.

Gonzo, get the provenance of the car. If it checks out then buy it.

Park it, drive it lightly once in a while, then sell it in a few years. A better return than the current stock market
