Moving from the Northeast to AZ
Curious what maintenance items I need to consider for the AZ heat? I’m already running a higher weight synthetic oil based on Motuls recommendation. I’ve read more frequent air filter changes and at max 5000 miles between oil changes. Will see what Blackstone says after the first one. Have summer Michelins on already and Xpel on the headlights. Other considerations? Thanks

I brought my M440i here (Tucson, AZ) last summer... I didn't do anything maintenance wise special, but I would recommend tint and a windshield screen while parked. Take advantage of app remote/scheduled starts. And find an indoor car-wash for the hotter months

Sidearm1911 said it best. Def get dark tint on all of your windows and windshield tint too. A windshield screen for added UV protection is a must as well.
I used to live in Scottsdale for 2 years and it was freakin hot as shit in the summer time. Wasn't fun living there around that time but the trade off from fall - spring was unbelievable! Best weather, hands down! Best of luck with the move!

As above, but also consider getting your windshield tinted. I have 70% on mine and visually you can barely, if at all, tell it’s there and makes the world of difference.

Rocks every where so if you want to protect against rock chips in bumper, headlights, windshield I’d suggest front PPF and make sure insurance provides windshield replacement. I change my oil every 4k which I know is more regular than some but I figure changing oil is cheaper than changing engines and I’m looking to keep mine a long time. I don’t track the car so haven’t felt need to use heavier weight oil even with the heat.
