AWE vs Valvetronic Designs

I’m about to put an exhaust on my M340i and I was hoping for some help deciding between the AWE resonated touring exhaust or the Valvetronic Designs exhaust. The model of AWE that I’m interested in is similarly priced to the Valvetronic and it doesn’t have a valve system. So outside of the valve system, is the Valvetronic as high of quality as an exhaust as the AWE? Or is it overhyped and not worth the extra money? Also, if I go with the AWE, will it delete the stock valve that closes when I go from comfort to sport mode?

Both brands are reputable with high quality products.

i would not worry too much about the brand name, pick the design and sound you like the most

AWE exhaust will delete the valve - basically, you'll tuck it away using the adapter piece they provide with the exhaust. I have had both combinations of stock cat no resonators (AWE touring non-resonated) and later purchased the resonators when I went catless, so having no cat + resonators (per their recommendation). The car sounds great - when in the city, around 45mph and light throttle to keep speed, I barely hear the car. However, when I get on it, I hear the awesome roar of the B58. It's not obnoxious by any means. I've not used the track edition, so I can't speak to how it sounds. YouTube videos do not do the sound as much justice, but they will give you a general idea.

I have a 24 M340i w Valvetronic exhaust and I love it! Got the carbon tips w it. Sounds nice, much more louder then stock. Also have an AA downpipe which also helps w sound.

Pretty cool being able to turn on and off your valves especially for me on cold starts parked in a garage lol.
