I have a week 40 M440i going to Galveston, Tx, that's been stuck awaiting carrier assignment for a month. I've seen weeks 41-43 already on ships or at the port. Does anyone have a similar experience? (No recalls or stop sales)

Something's definitely not right with your delay... my week 41 440GC is set to be delivered this week, currently at VPC... I would call your advisor.

And what will he exactly do? Call Germany and say get off your asses and move this thing? Unfortunately, I don't think so. BMW Genius is useless except for telling me what the tracker tells me. I don't expect them to do anything. It's a waiting game. I hope it works out in a way that's positive for you.

Here's my experience with my car (M440i GC); according to the tracker production started on 9/10 and went through all of the stages and was shown at the port on 9/15. I thought that was quick, maybe production started sooner.
Waited a month 10/14 and called Genius, they confirmed the car arrived on 9/15 and is still waiting for a ship.
Called on 10/27, and when I said the car has been at the port since 9/15, she said that's incorrect and that the car arrived a month later on 10/18 and looks like it was scheduled to ship on 10/30...which it did.

IMO, up until the car is on a ship, I wouldn't trust the tracker.

I called a sales manager at the dealer to find out more info, he said he submitted a request to the factory. So well see, the car has been sitting awaiting carrier assignment since completion on 10/06. The same dealer had two weeks for 41&42 G22's to make it on the Victoria Highway 3 weeks later.

I'm hoping the tracker just isn't updated and the car made it on the ship with the other G22s. It's hard to believe they would load three other 4 Series going to the same dealer and leave mine behind. But then again.. Who knows?

Any update? My M440i arrived at the dealership 4 days after the ship arrived in Brunswick. Looks like all options are there I will know more on Tuesday.

Wow, congrats!�� No, still stuck at status 182 awaiting carrier assignment. seems like i missed 3 boats now, with cars leaving after me to Galveston tx.

If you haven't already, I would push BMW Genius and/or your dealer for an answer. I know when I pushed Genius, she put me on hold for a while and came back with the correct updated info. Good luck!

What did you say to genius? when i try to find out more info/escalate they always say that's all the info they have.

It could be a recall or enhancement hasn't been completed. A number of builds having this issue.
