The VIN gets allocated and you can get it from the dealer but for a while no system recognises it. Then someone evidently flips a switch and it becomes real.
You can probably look it up in VIN decode sites and also add it to the owners guide app to get the manual now. |

I'm still on 5055, looks like I will have the Friday car, apparently it is still on track to be started this week...
Interestingly I've got my VIN from the dealer but none of the BMW systems will recognise it. Guess it doesn't actually exist yet... ;-) |

It’s interesting that you’ve got the option of the PDF manual. I’ve got the drivers guide for a G20 330i and even though it’s up to date there’s no PDF option.

I picked up mine today, did 220 klms, electric range is around 40-50 klms, max speed in electric mode is 147 kmh, consumption in motorway is amazing, never seen a "powerful" gasoline engine being this efficient given that the car weighs 1800kg, I drove always between 140-155 kmh I averaged 6,0-6,5 liters/100km during 180 kms, and used almost no electric power, so it is very similar with a diesel engine with same power, amazing!
Compared to the F30 which we also own, I feel like this G20 is two generations up, the difference is gigantic between the two. |

Thanks for this post. 47 MPG at 90MPH is very good indeed! I usually bumble along around 60-65, can only imagine it'll be pushing mid-high 50's at that speed. Sounds very promising as that's only a little less than I get from my Mondeo diesel.
Now just to get them to start building mine, still 5055! :-) |

This guy got his 330e last week and he said he's impressed with the performance and economy. Hopefully we start seeing some independent reviews on smaller YouTube channels soon. I want to see how it fares against a 330i!

Feel free to ask any question, the engine has a run in period of 2000 klms, max rpm 4500, so I won't push it much until then.
The only downsides for me right now is that the electric range with my driving is closer to 40 klms, and the car is too big for my taste. The M adaptive suspension is not like in a 5 series, it is much harder, it is tuned in a much more sporty way, which I like. Also the exhaust is valved, which I didn't know. |

40 km on electrical...
I just see who it is "What is that building over there? On the side of a road? A petrol station?! No, never heard of it!" the only thing is that it might take me like 2 months or even more to make 1000+ miles DDD |

Is there any way to keep the valves open on the exhaust? Assuming it's much louder if there's a sport+? Thanks |

- Sport - Xtraboost (which is the equivalent sport+ in this car) - Sport Individual Regarding the valves it is difficult to say because when the car is parked there is no way to turn the engine on, so the valves are always closed, but in xtraboost I believe they are open when you start driving fast, the right exhaust pipe is the one with the valve, and is closed by default. |

Mine is still at 5055 despite meant to be into production w/c 26th August. Guess it has slipped, unless they work weekends. Does anyone know? Perhaps they've run out of orange paint... ;-)

There you have it, a plane trolley, you can then increase the capacity by lowering the first half if you need, but then it is not flat like in the photo.
