I received between 5 - 6 % discount. From my understanding they are very regional. Most dealers in my area offered no discount at all.
Unfortunately I didn't know about the military salute discount as my SA never mentioned it. When I found out about it my delivery date was between the summer and fall promotions and I didn't qualify.

Okay cool! that was my thought as well. I live in Atlanta so it is hot, but i have no plans to track it or run it hard in any way for an extended period of time. Maybe a pull or two here or there to have some fun.

Tiny bit bummed heated steering wheel only has one setting. Thought I saw that it had three like the seats, but if that's the worst then all good!

System X is the ceramic coating I used.

Iconic sounds in an amplified engine sound coming in over the car speakers. Since I can't go over 4K RPM in break in (1200 miles), I'm using Iconic sounds to make my car sound more like it will once I get the gas pedal when broken in...

Quick follow up on our build

We opted to buy one off the lot - they had just received a M440i Convertible in Mineral White Metallic (wife wanted Tanzanite but the white with the black rims and red calipers was simply too amazing to pass up).

Listed for $81,410 Tax fees etc (NJ) brought it to $89k - got it down to $80,500 with $1000 loyalty applied. Then extra $1000 for financing w/BMW $10K So out the door/all in for $79,500

Couple of quick notes...

The key fob is def lighter, but I chaulk that up to electronic components get smaller and I actually prefer it lighter in my pocket

Center of steering wheel is not leather. Both of these changes were noted by another blogger.

Seat bolsters went away when I added ventilated seats ask noted by another blogger.

I drive 8.5 is noticeably better than iDrive 7. You can just ask it to play a song and it finds and plays for example

Dealership had issues setting up the eSim (I'm an xfinity mobile customer)

Engine cover has a big M badge

Adaptive suspension - my first take is that it's great. I need to turn it off and try without, but not sure why you would.

Car is whisper quiet and HK stereo is great

I'm scheduled for ceramic coating on Thursday and will post a few more pic when done

I canceled my Sewell Plano BMW order as they were taking too long to find me an allocation. Referred to a salesman at BMW of Dallas by a repeat customer who is a friend and they had an allocation for me the same day we spoke, ordered same day (21-Nov). In production queue today (26-Nov). Salesman says I should expect to take delivery in February.

Heard back from Sewell Plano on 22-Nov saying they bought an allocation for me...told them I'm already pregnant, but thanks.
